Hi I'm new to the whole online gaming thing, and I am struggling to get started. Whenever I go to multiplayer I try and authorize my name and it states that the master server is busy. I then get connected to game spy but with no games available. Is there somewhere to start with the troubleshooting? I am running on windows 7 with the delux version. Thanks in advance.

Make sure you're fully patched... not sure what you mean by "delux version".

3 game cd rom boxed set. includes kingmaker, shadow guard andwhitches wake I have downloaded the 1.69 patch to the nwn file. Do I need to run it? I have tried to open it but can't as it is a TAR file.

For windows users, the patch should be an .exe file iirc. You may wish to double check which patch you downloaded. Once you are sure you have the right one, run that .exe to patch your install.
