And to be fair to you they make it much easier to spot some of the problems with Bhelen than with Harrowmont.
If a game combined the better aspects of each in one person and the worst aspects of each in another then it would be easier to pick one as the decision would be clearly black and white. But some aspects of this game are trickier & more complex than others.

In supporting Harrowmont, the warden just need to help him to show he is able to be a ruler. But supporting Bhelen, the warden need to do his dirty work...
between the two, i choose not to do dirty work...

Ah... but why would we ever succumb to the taint and go on our calling?? We have Duncan's magical anti-taint knife.Nizaris1 wrote...
"Some claimed she returned to Alistair, her true love, and a life far away from both Ferelden and the royal court. Some say that she served the Grey Wardens elsewhere, Alistair at her side, or that the two of them were seen often at the palace in Denerim. After a number of years, however, neither she nor Alistair were seen again. perhaps they undertook some mission on behalf of the Grey Wardens, or departed for their own adventures, or... simply disappeared after they had the most gruesome death in the Deep Road....Most assume their tale is far from complete..."

I thought that was the Shanking Knife ! It certainly ends the taint for all in our path...

If only....
If you go read the Calling, you'll find out that Duncan's knife is special (I won't say why it is, just know that it prevents the taint from spreading further than it already has as long as you have it.)
And before I got a hold of that (I read the books in between Origins and Awakening's release) I had given Alistair Duncan's Dagger and sword as his alternate weapons (not that he ever used them... just that I feel he would want to keep a hold of them due to his supermegahardon for Duncan).
And then I read the books, and realized... Alistair and I have a magical dagger that makes it so we'd NEVER succumb to the taint!!
(In character, after becomming pals with the Architect, I would have eventually noticed that dagger being special and maybe even have gotten another one made for me. -Being a mage and all-)

That's actually one of the things I like about the Orzammar decision. If he had to do it over again, my canon warden might not have chosen Harrowmont but it seemed a reasonable choice at the time. Besides, his responsibility is the blight. The dwarves are responsible for their own future, and Harrowmont isn't forever. He doesn't last very long, in fact.

Edit: I think his unyeilding belief in untrue statements is proof enough that this OP is not just stupid. Ignoring facts is a characteristic more commonly ascosiated with trolls not stupid people. Stupid people at least can usually understand that they are wrong (even if they don't always admit it) when presented with facts. Someone who is just stupid would have undoubtadely been detered from posting here by now after all the negative feedback. Sorry for feeding the troll, but I think it is better to end on a post about why the troll should not be fed and presenting proof of trolling rather than just saying don't feed the troll.
PS Now that you know, don't feed the troll.

Crappy is a matter of perspective.
Alistair: You only live another 30 years, you're sterile and you succumb to the taint.
Kallian: I'm an Arlessa, I get to go wherever I want and kill whomever I want, I've got a hunky boyfriend and I get to live ten extra years?! W00t! (Seriously, the average life expectancy in the Alienage has got to be less than 40 years.) Not to mention 3 meals a day, healthful exercise killing Darkspawn and a decided lack of rapists at my next family gathering. I'm good!
