I know there was a lack of RPGs out there due to Streamlining big publishers buying out smaller ones destroying franchises but this list is not impressive at all

Seriously we all know Skyrim will win
It's funny Square Enix though has to buy studios now to have a hit because of their design teams totally go against what the public wants. Seriously though Dragon Age II's sales were crap there sales were best with the preorders who thought the game was going to be like Origins.

Congrats Bioware! While DA2 won't win, This game is defiantly one of my favorite games of this year and its nice to see such a poorly underrated game get nominated.
Skyrim will beat it down like a small dog, though.

It got nominated simply because of the lack of RPG games. I'm sure The Witcher 2 and Deus Ex: HR will make a strong showing too.

Dragon age 2 was a good game, there's nothing wrong with it being on that list and the witcher 2 not being on it. I thought Dragon Age 2 was a lot better then the witcher 2.

Better Skyrim than DA2 at least it's a good game but Witcher 2 definitely deserves it.

Where the **** is the Witcher 2? It would be the only RPG that could compete with Skyrim at this point. I mean I admit that Skyrim is the best this year, but don't just ****ing hand the prize over. Witcher 2 deserves to be acknowledged. Spike fails at life.
Oh and if DA2 wins I'm really going to kill everyone at the VGAs. I mean I thought I was mad when Madden won best game of the year one time, but if DA2 wins best RPG? I will just walk up to the nearest living thing a kill it.

oh, and Witcher 2 didn't get nominated because it's a PC exclusive(for now anyway), they will NEVER put a PC exclusive againts games on Consoles(even if they are in the PC as well), cause they hate PC gaming.
TW1 didn't get nominated Either, and instead they nominated Bull**** like Eternal Sonata(a game that btw, got a MUCH worse critical reception than Witcher 1)
The Winner is decided through Open voting, meaning everyone can easily vote and select their Winner,( which is stupid cause it makes this nothing more than a Popularity contest, not to mention, this will only attract morons who know nothing about the Other Nominees, making them Bias, or even then, they could be fanboys and just vote for another game againts one they don't like just to make said game loose, among other problems), and i more than certain that DA2 won't win by that, but i don't know, i just don't trust some of these numbers.
I Don't understand how the Hell a HOCKEY game can win against the International community with FIFA or Madden, or how does Left 4 Dead 2 can become the 360 GOTY in 2009, i mean yeah it's fun and all, but honestly, it's not even an exclusive and beyond the fun factor, there isn't anything else behind L4D2.
