Heck, I can't even install the damn game.  It has chosen random times to simply quit installing, saying "Installation has failed."  That's it.  No explanation, nothing.  Anyone else hear of this?

Of course. Read the stickies. It's covered there.

Brother, I am not finding it. This board is stuffed with the bugs of this game, so I have been crawling through for hours and can't catch a break. Any help you can give would be appreciated!

It mentioned problems with XP 64 bit, but I have Professional. Otherwise, no love in my searches.

Do special rules apply for you?  Is the phrase "read first" not self-explanatory?  Any special reason your copy is unregistered?

http://social.biowar...8/index/7280573 "read first".

http://social.biowar.../58/index/81613 about DLCs.

http://social.biowar...8/index/5151520 more about DLCs, especially for Ultimate Edition users.

http://social.biowar...8/index/6265850 most of everything else.

Then try a fresh properly posted thread here.

If that and all else fails, contact the official game support as described in http://social.biowar.../58/index/87251 .

"64 bit" and "professional" are not mutually exclusive terms.....

Wow, thanks internet tough guy. Tools like you make the term "nerd" the insult that it is. Rules do not apply differently to me, but maybe having a life beyond this board has reduced my time to search for solutions.
The lack of physical proximity seems to have engendered in you an untoward rudeness. I highly doubt you are this contentious in person, when the chances of getting your smug a** kicked are high. Try to keep that in mind when dealing with people online. If annoyed, do not respond.

Official support is HERE.

Stop bothering the volunteers if you do not care enough to follow the simplest of ordinary requests.

And wow, having looked at most of these links already, you really are irritating AND useless. In my case, 64 bit and Professional were mutually exclusive, but thanks for the primer.

Tool.

Gorath Alpha, I have no issue following the rules. Sometimes a simple tip or direction is enough to get what is needed without jumping through too many hoops. What I do care about is the unwarranted hostility of the "volunteers." If what I did was so egregious, then maybe the volunteers need to find another hobby, as this one is too stressful.

I do not beliece that in my emails I was terribly obtuse or bothersome. Re-read the exchange, tell me when someone crossed the line. If you still believe it to be me, fine. I understand the nature of this board, and shall act accordingly from here on out.
