Oh look, a Liara thread and Neria Rose crawls out from under her bridge to bash the character, how completely unexpected.

Aww, your feelings hurt, pookie? By the way, where have I posted in the main Liara thread, since apparently I post in all of them?

Not at all, your constant trolling of Liara fans is just annoying and no need for. You could also write about things you like, it's not that hard.

Nice logic there. I think I'm going to use some of it.

You're an idiot, so everything you say is hereby invalid. Just because I say so.

Do you want me to explain why Legion is stupid? All you have to do is ask.

Actually, you don't have to ask at all; I will explain.

If you followed Legion's logic in ME2 you'd have to skip just about every upgrade in the game and in fact, all alien squadmates. You should onhly be relying on the tech and skills of humans. Don't use mass relays or mass effect cores either. Humans did not invent that. No ship armor, no Thanix. Good luck on the Suicide Mission.

In ME3, don't recruit any alien allies. Don't work together. That is a violation of the geth policy. You should only use what you create for yourself.

Legion's philosophy is bunk and he offers no explanation for why Xen can't succeed. Nobody does, not even you. If Xen was crazy and doomed to failure then how come the Heretics were a threat? They were a threat because they could succeed. If they can succeed, if Overlord can succeed, then Xen can succeed.

I need a reason why she can't accomplish what she intends and why that makes her "crazy". If anyone isn't making any sense it is Tali. She opposes all of the admirals but offers no strategy herself beyond "I want the homeworld". She needs to pick a side or invent her own side.

Also I know what happens to Overlord in ME3 and it does nothing to invalidate my point. In ME2 we saw Overlord succeed.

Maybe Shepard can go 1 for 2 when trying a threesome in ME3.

I do, actually, from time to time. Or at least vote in polls *shrugs*.

Near as I can tell, though, nothing I have said is incorrect. And I could have responded to this thread when it first showed up. However, I really don't care who the OP chooses. It's just the whole usual Liara fan 'she rescued you!' thing rubs me the wrong way and I really enjoy pointing that out.

Lastly, if you can't handle negativity, then go get yourself some paper and markers, draw yourself a few rainbows and unicorns with smiley faces, and go hide under a rock for the rest of your life. Be sure to bring a night light!

There is a difference between "negativity" and "reading your hate posts (full of half knowledge or false facts) in every thread with Liara in the title". The latter is simply annoying.

Liara is way better...

She's more independent and got biotics and can blend her mind with yours and she doesnt act like a fangirl towards shephard

I simply made two save games; one where I stayed faithful to Liara, and one where I went with Tali. I personally much prefer Tali though, so that will be "canon" playthrough. ;)

Then again, Liara didn't seem put-off by the idea of a threesome in ME1 if you had your Shepard bring it up, so for those who are into polygamy, there's still hope!

Just do what you want. Personally I prefer Liara. Originally I went with Tali, but only because I couldn't have Liara. Then LOTSB came out and I went back to Liara. I mean what she did for shep in the comic was pretty awesome and proved her feelings for shep. So after that it was a no brainer.

Liara can save Shepard in LotSB, but it's optional.
You're right, I really enjoyed this. ;)

@OP, I would romance both for the lulz.

Care to back that up? What false facts?

It's rather entertaining to know you can't resist reading my posts ;). Feel free to make ample use of the ignore function if you feel you'll be kept up at night! Though I don't know if that will block posts as the only person I ever had on ignore is apparently gone or has a different account.

I refer to Liara picking up Shepard's corpse between ME1 and ME2. That is, unfortunately, not optional. LotSB I played once and will not play again, so while parts of that expansion made me cringe, I happily avoid them. And no, I don't mind that it's at the expense of content that does not interest me.

Oh, and by the way: *spoiler**spoiler* So the jokes on you.

Yes, we all know ME3's plot is infested with paragon favouritism to an insane degree. This is not news.

Right, because it's not like paragon choices like *spoiler**spoiler* backfires?

Oh wait, they do

The first and last spoilers are invalidated in the renegade playthrough and 'backfire' as well and the second doesn't backfire, it actually helps the paragon player.

ME3 is infested with paragon favouritism, stop trying to deny it.

Lets all agree that we each have our favorites and leave it at that, the OP just wanted to know who to pick. That does not mean bash the one you don't like, or start ripping into other people. Just say who you think, or give your advice and leave it at that whether it be pick x or y or multi playthroughs. We are all individuals we all like different things, attacking a character or player just makes everyone else get defensive, so do everyone a favor and DONT DO IT.

Air, stop being reasonable. This is the BSN.

On topic, won't comment on the Liara romance, not a fan of the character, or what was done to her in ME2. Too much informed ability and writer favoritism seemed to be going on for my liking.

The best thing about the Talimance for my liking is how sweet it is. The worst thing about it is also how sweet it is. Seriously, its like a big lump of fairy floss with Commander Awesome as knight in shining armour. If that floats your boat, go for it.

You played the DLC and still don't know who saved Shepard's corpse?
Well let's pretend it's Cerberus, every dead body needs to be rescued from the afterlife!

I'm just waiting for the first person to ask which armor color to choose in ME3, it's equally important in my opinion.

You've lost me. What is the point you're trying to make? I've already said Liara gets Shepard's body, so it couldn't be that you think I don't know that. And I've already said Cerberus brings Shepard back to life, unless you're trying to say Liara herself has some biotic power to revive corpses?

This is actually somehting I've been debating. I still don't know. I mean, Liara saved your life, improved as a character in ME2, and had the best DLC in ME2. Tali has always been at your side since the beginnning. Ijust don't know!

Actually, my Shep lost her life, period. She was then brought back to life and therefore saved by Cerberus. It just so happens Cerberus used an obsessive Asari my Shep hated to find her corpse.

Recheck your LotSB dialogue and note that it canonically happened. Your Shepard actually rather likes Liara.
