I don't care that people give her "all the credit", which I do not think a lot of them do, but they do try to press it like it's something special and an excuse to like her. As if it would be impossible for an organization like Cerberus to have Liara-less alternatives to finding and getting Shepard.

LOL Yeah, i made that name after i heared Grunt shout it. Thought it was neat. So i chose it. But Mordin has to be the greatest squadie ever to me.

ME1 I played the whole game with Liara, but ME2 i played with Tali. they're both awsome but i don't know what to do. I wish i could just play through ME1 without being forced to choose someone. Technically I am not cheating on Liara because i played ME on 360, but its the thought that counts. I've been looking at other posts forever and I am leaning towards Tali. I just want to know anyones thoughts on the effects on ME3's romances.   

First of all, I would suggest you role play your character in order to reach a decision.
Secondly, your Shep did not cheat on Liara since you where no longer together (unless you did LOTSB and rekindled your relation with Liara before romancing Tali).

Personally, on my play through I have come to the conclusion that given the circumstances it will be highly difficult for my Shep to choose. If the option to keep them both present itself, I will go for it, otherwise I don't know what to do really.

Yes, I know they stated the DLCs link ME2 to ME3. ME3's beginning is entirely based upon the events in Arrival (which I thoroughly enjoyed, I don't actually get the complaints about Arrival). And I see how Liara being the SB is canon, which I honestly don't care one way or the other about. It's Shepard's assistance being canon that I would like verified. I didn't believe Garrus was romanceable, despite a good deal of proof, until I had actually gone through the romance myself (some part of my mind would always say 'photoshop', 'modding', etc.), so I'm the kind of person who needs solid dev quotes or Bioware articles stating it for me to believe it.

Shep's assistance is not canon. If Shep doesn't help her she gets a group of mercs to do it.

So yeah...

I also don't get why people are proud of a forced friendship. "Yay your character is forced to like the character I like! No matter how he may have treated her in the past!" Uh...yay?

Oh I hope I can agree with a certain squaddie in ME3. Watching him/her/it blast Liara will be hilarious.

Tali just can't compare.


Liara actually did something FOR Shepard. Tali never did anything for Shepard.

From a story point of view her romance makes the most sense.
