Its not the outfit at all I dislike about the new Ashley look, the outfit is alright. Its certainly a step up from Miranda's ridiculous skin suit (though at least her appearence actually made sense for her character, where as it makes no sense on Ashley). No its the makeup caked face and super model haircut that bug me. At least she was respectable as a tough independent woman before that kept her appearance appropriate, even if her personality was a bit drab. Now shes just the Miranda replacement to check off the box for sexified lead female for the "sex sells" angle all games gotta cover. Meh. Lots of guys I know like this, but I was always a Liara guy so it's just not doing it for me at all.

But yeah, given how all this is official, it's pretty clear now there's no intention to make Ash look like a serious marine/Spectre like Kaidan. But rather a "stylish" female lead. Which is a terrible shame, as Ash is hands-down my favorite character in the series.
