PCs are living on borrowed time now. The next generation of consoles will be modular removing the need for a PC.
LOL, that will NEVER HAPPEN, consoles will always be inferior to pc, my pc will more than handle next generation games easily, 8 gigs ddr3, core i7 2600, msi 460gtx talon attack graphics card. now gen and next gen cant beat my pc.
how ever the real reason for a pc that powerful as such power isnt needed for gaming is 3D Computer Graphic RENDERING!

As for the topic, I'm pretty sure Bioware already has their target graphics down for the most part.

I've heard that thing for years.
PC gaming is still rising.
I also heard it's been said that PC gaming is dieing for 20 years.
All I see in this 20 years is massive rise and many revolutionary games that are played even today.
So, could you kindly shut up about that?
PC gaming will die only if entire gaming dies as well.

Ironically, "rushed PoS" had high res texture pack for the PC.

Yes, but consistent graphics are still important, especially in a game that has a lot of close-ups. Faces are sharp, armor and clothing are pixelated. This is something that bothers me immensely about Mass Effect 2 and I wish they could fix that with a high res texture pack. They did it for Dragon Age II and while that game uses dated graphics, the visuals are at least consistent and bother me less than ME2's.Mesina2 wrote...

I'm about 50/50 on PC and consoles, and this talk of "OMG PC IS DEAD GUYZ" is ridiculous. As long as PCs EXIST there will be a market for games for them. Sure, that market might shrink a little, titles might get delayed or whatever, but people were talking about the PC's demise in the freakin' 90s, and it's still going strong.

I was referring to the games as a whole, not the graphics.
And regarding ME3's graphics, well .... there's mods for PC (Jean-Luc has some hi-res textures in the ME characters & fan creations forum)

Texmod is far from ideal. It takes a minute to even start up and it increases in-game load times.alex90c wrote...

Mass effect already have great aesthetics. So what is wrong about asking for great graphics?

Since ME2 is still a current title until ME3 is released the ME team should follow in the foot steps of the DA2 team and release a high resolution textures for PC for ME2 although I would bet we get the too lazy responce and they would not bother.
I do hope the ME team pull their finger out on ME3 and release it with presentable graphics for this day and age since ME2 was no where near what it should of been when it was released.

There's a mod you can DL to remove all of the irritating ME2 loading screens as well.
After the initial load after booting the game up, you should be fine unless you have an ancient computer.
