What is the problem with BF3? It's an amazing engine. And Epic agrees with me, since they signed the contract with the Geomerics radiosity engine as well, so there.

Oh well I won't go into the NUMEROUS problems. Graphics aren't one of them though.

The graphics from the Xbox 360 game look very nice. I'm very happy with the current graphics of the game.

No doubt they did an excellent job optimizing ME2 for Xbox 360, but console gamers generally don't sit as close to their screen as PC gamers. I have a 1080p monitor within half an arm's reach. I see every flaw in the graphics and I have a machine capable enough to run a version of the game that doesn't have those flaws. For Xbox 360 these problems are small enough to be ignored because of the longer distance to the TV screen.

I know, I'm a PC player as well. I just said it because we haven't seen the PC version yet. Garrus' neck looks no longer pixelated, so I see it as an overall improvement :)

PCs are living on borrowed time now. The next generation of consoles will be modular removing the need for a PC.

LOL, that will NEVER HAPPEN, consoles will always be inferior to pc, my pc will more than handle next generation games easily, 8 gigs ddr3, core i7 2600, msi 460gtx talon attack graphics card. now gen and next gen cant beat my pc.

how ever the real reason for a pc that powerful as such power isnt needed for gaming is 3D Computer Graphic RENDERING!

I'm not familiar with that graphics card, I got an Nvidia Gforce 9600 GT. Anyone know how they compare, cause his sounds pretty cool.

That's because it is. It's a model below the latest NVidia graphics card, the GTX 560. It crushes the 360, PS3, and any next gen console combined. Saying something like "PC's won't be needed after next gen cause they is modular!" is not only uneducated and wild speculation, it isn't true.

As said before, PC gaming is going nowhere near extinction. Anyone who says otherwise isn't speaking in his/her right mind.

Except the devs apparently won't spend the effort money on the 20% of the market that can make use of advanced graphics - I got an earful from asking whether ME3 would implement some version of DX11 and why not...(I'd link the thread if I knew how)

Everything a videogame developer/publisher says to explain why the PC version of a game looks like poop compared to what it could look is invalid. Because of

Posted Image

the people who apparently were able to put bigger maps and 64 player multi into their game, even when the consoles couldn't handle them.

Everything a videogame developer/publisher says about piracy is just as much invalid because Xbox games are pirated just as often and they get pirated sooner, because the PC crackers have the decency to not release a crack until the game gets officially released. People played Skyrim on Xbox 5 days before it launched. Not to mention PSP and DS that are the most pirated systems in the universe...

Wii would be pirated just as much, but pirating a Wii doesn't pay off since there's an emulator that can run Wii games on a PC, but with better graphics and higher definition (this is a fact... google Dolphin Wii).

You do know that a console is essentially a boiled down PC, right?

Why should people forsake the real thing for a dupe? I don't understand your logic.

While I never pirate video games anymore I still have a modded PlayStation with some pirated games. In those days I rarely pirated PC games because I was mainly a console gamer. I sometimes still use emulators but only for games I actually own. I use a SNES emulator because I can use save states and I use a PS2 emulator (with my original discs) for the upscaled graphics.

I guess I stopped playing illegal copies of games when I no longer had to rely on my parents or generous uncles to buy them.

Bah. I don't care about consoles. I am happy with my PC. Now only if an XBOX 360 emulator gets programmed, I would complete my Halo experience!

Actually, the only thing prolonging the life of consoles is the damn exclusivity.

What are you talking abot? Next gen consoles modular? With triple price for components? That cant be good?
I really dont like someone telling me what i cant and can do on my pc or any other hardwere, i payd for.
Even a freaking phone, if i dont like bundeled software and i cant remove any other way - i ll flash recovery and rom and i will remove it. At any costs.
And as i by most of this stuff second hand or barganed price, its not so bad.

From my point of view, if you want to have quality products, there is few things to do:
- go by 6 or 8 core green cpus and gpus, last gen are as good as gen before that. Thats enormosly important that green and blue cpus stay both on the market
- use both blue and other colored os on you machine. They both have a place and purpouse.
- buy legit games and legit games only. If you have pc for games, you can afford that. Without it gaming industry die.
- dont take any substandard product from eny company. If what delivered is poo- give good and honest fan rage

Oh but Raptor, PCs will always be too expensive and needing of too much care in relation to consoles.
So we can now buy a nice pc for 800 bucks. A good one for 1000. Okay, but isn't the PS3 300 bucks?
So we will be able to buy very nice pcs for 500 bucks. But won't consoles sell for 150-200 bucks by then?
Just sayin. I don't even own a console, but I do understand its alure.

Yes, but when you talk about 'modular' components for a console, and with Microsoft's inflated ego of it's components, we're talking about reversing that theory.

Like I said, compare your components.  MS sells their Xbox hard drives for roughly 2x the market price for the actual drive.  What if your Xbox 640 needs a new video card?

Besides that, I can actually mod out crappy parts of my game.  A feature that's just not there at all on the console.

While I will love to get it, I doubt that a high res textures pack or anything like that will be done specifically for PC.

That's why it's so nice we have all these expert modder's around the community.  Have you seen some of the work they have already done in vastly increasing the texture levels of the game?  Some may like to trash on the PC as the old-school way of playing games but the ability to customize that game is what makes the PC shine.  All of my games have been "upgraded" in one form or another and with the PC and a small amount of tech skill, you can do some amazing enchancements.

I created this topic so that Bioware can read it and hopefully take us SERIOUSLY, I have heard on gaming sites of how Bioware listens to their fans when they read the forums, my pc is more than powerful enough to play Battle Field 3, and i am hoping that bioware beefs up the ME3 PC GRAPHICS worthy of a PC.

My question is will bioware take us seriously?

Nope - better texture maps and other tweaks to dx9 is all - you can continue to look forward to polyethylene hairdoos and clothes made from anodized sheet aluminum - also nice ceramic Asaris (I thought Samara looked particularly well-glazed)
