Well, I decided I might as well share with you all my party line-ups for all the play-throughs I currently have planned. I have a problem. You see, I am useless at gaming. I struggle even on easy, and I have a feeling this game is really going to challenge me. Everyone has praised how difficult the game is, and it's got me worried. You see, I want to have a party that suits the character I'm playing. Otherwise my immersion is completely broken. So, I'd like to know your opinion on the following lineups. I've never been one for swapping companions in and out - I have a fixed set that I stick to throughout the game.

Alek (Human Noble - Warrior/Champion - Shiny Hero - brave, honourable, generous, arrogant)
Leliana (romance - definitely in)
Dog
Wynne

Katlyn (Dwarf Commoner - Rogue/Assassin - Guarded Survivor - pragmatic, cold, mistrustful)
Sten
Morrigan
Oghren

Ellaouise (City Elf - Rogue/Duelist - Incurable Optimist - happy, funny, bright)
Alistair (romance - definitely in)
Leliana
Wynne

Jaelyn (Human Mage - Mage - Blithe Joker - cocky, kind, vain)
Alistair
Leliana
Zevran (romance - definitely in)

Tordek (Dwarf Noble - Warior/Beserker - Masked Egotist - avaricious, selfish, charming)
Morrigan (romance - definitely in)
Zevran
Shale

Jaina (Dalish Elf - Warrior/? - ? - ?)
Zevran
Sten
Morrigan (romance?)

You see, I want to experience as much content as possible on each runthrough. I want to try as many different combinations of companions as possible. However, at the moment, I fear some of my parties just aren't right. In particular, Ellaouise, Jaelyn (These two parties are my favourtie, because the personalities are the right mix, but they're also my weakest - bear in mind how rubbish I am - will I survive with 2 rogues?) and Jaina (too similar to other parties I've had, but I wanted to roleplay her as a cold-hearted killer). I've also heard that Dog becomes increasingly useless the further into the game you get.

Sooooooo, if you'll forgive the incredibly self-indulgent nature of the topic, what do people suggest I do? Any ideas? I really like the character concepts I've come up with, so I'd prefer not to change them - except Jaina, whose still just a vague blur. Hmm...
