For a while now, I have been unable to login to my account from withion DA:O. Seemingly, I was not alone in this issue as the web is full of people haveing the same issue. I believe that I have now found a solution to this issue.

As far as I can tell, it has
nothing to do with ports and firewalls, as suggestedby others, but a simple password issue.
That is, your password cannot contain any 'special characters' (i.e.: #~!"£$%,
etc.), only letters and numbers.

My password had one special character.
I logged into my account, reset my password to one that did not contain
any special character. I was then able to login to DA:O without any
further issue.

I can download and buy DLC from within the game and,
presumably as I haven't tried it yet, upload screen shots, etc.
