It's all in the title really.  I'm just wondering if I can transfer items from my inventory to my other party members.  I'm a warrior and I have some stuff that's only used by mages, so I was hoping I could give it to my mage.  If not I guess I'll sell it????

Thanks for any help.:)

The inventory is shared by all characters.

Hit "i" to open your inventory, and you'll see a screen like the one below:

Image IPB

Just click on the arrow I've circled, and the next character in line will be displayed.  If that isn't the character you want, click the button again, and it'll switch to the following character.  You can cycle through all of the characters to equip them with weapons, armor, belts, and rings AND to give them gifts (if you're in camp).

These directions are for the PC, but I'm sure the other platforms have a similar capability.

So if I cycle though the characters which I'd already learned how to do, are you saying the inventory will stay the exact same and show the exact same stuff? Whether I'm looking at Morrigan, Alistair etc. :?

Yes, that's what I'm saying.  Caradoc2000 already told you that, above, and he's right.

If you look at the picture above, you'll see that the items on the left are under the heading "Party Inventory."  It's called Party Inventory because those are the items possessed by the entire party, and they don't change from person to person.  We've told you this three times now; I'm not sure how we could make it any clearer.

Some of the items in the party inventory might be greyed out if the character you're looking at can't use them.  If you need a Strength of 32 to use an item, and the character has a Strength of 20, then the item will be greyed out.  Rogue-only items will be greyed out for mages and warriors, and mage-only items will be greyed out for warriors and rogues.  But the items will all BE there; the only thing that changes is which items, if any, are greyed out.

In the picture I posted, above, you can see that Acid Flask, Mabari Crunch, and Soulrot Coating are all greyed out, because the current character can't use them.

The buttons at the top of the party's inventory allow you to see only part of the inventory -- only weapons or only armor or only crafting items, and so on.

Open the inventory screen, really LOOK at what's in front of you, and you should see all you need to know.

Well I appreciate the info, but I think this is totally unnecessary.  I wouldn't have asked the question if the explanations had been more clear. ; )
