[Sloth Of Doom]

After a coupl of weeks I have noticed that thre is only about 10% original content on thse forums, the rest of the tpics are the same thing rehashed over and over and over.  In order to help alleviate the strain of searching I have decded to put all the answers in one place.  If your question isn't answerd here, you might have had an original thought (but I probably just forgot).  If this thread does not insult you in some way you are probably a person of average intelligence or better.  Who knows, this might actually help someone.

The game is too easy / The game is too Hard

Switch difficulty levels.  If you are still having a hard time check out the gameplay forums for tips on tactics and how to make more effective characters!  If the game is still too easy on nightmare, get rid of your mages and limit your potion intake.

Seriously, we are all sick of hearing about it.

Online Play

No.  Isn't going to happen.   Stop asking.

DLC content not working

Whatever you were about to post about this wasn't going to give us enough information anyways.  Check out the tech support sub-forum for your particular platform, I am sure there are answers there.

OMG I found a bug!

Yep.  They exist, and a lot of them are acknowledged and being worked on.  A proper patch takes time, so just breathe a little and be patient.  The tech forum is a great place to post them if you fel that you hav found something unique, though

I can't register.

PC users, your code is on the back of the manual.  PS3 and Xbox users, the UPC (barcode) is on the back of the case.  Pirates, die in a fire.

My guys aren't attacking, they just stand there!

Most likely you have them on 'Hold position'   Alternately you may have selected your entire party.  In both cases your companions will not do anything unless you specifically order them to.

My ranged people keep switching to melee!

In the tactics screen you must set both sides of the book.  Select 'ranged AND 'archer'

Second playthrough with the same character?

No.

Why can PC people do X and consoles got ripped off?

Because PCs are far more versatile.  Consoles didn't get rippd off, they are inherenty limited.

There is too much talking in the game.

There is too much talking from your mouth, go back to paying FPS games and leave us alone.

That isn't nice to say out oud, even if it is true.   Go post your complaints in the site help forum, I don't think anyone reads them there but at least you can say you tried.

Without balance strategy is meaningless, and given that the combat system is not action based without strategy the whole combat system is meaningless. Fortunately there is a toolkit to fix this but it's going to take some time to dissassemble the system.

I agree with Sloth on the mages part.

This game was designed to allow the player to pick and choose. So if a player happens to be very good at using a mage and if the player finds the mage overpowered, then good for the the player and go solo with a mage. If not, use less party members or don't use a mage in the next play through.

I agree people should stop ****ing about mages; they're designed to be powerful and they're only game-breaking if you abuse forcefield and cone of cold.



However, the 'this is single player' excuse isn't a valid one. You still need balance, otherwise the game isn't fun to play.
