 As we know Garrus,Tali, Liara, VS, and Vega are more on the permenant side. Who else do you think/hope  will return?

(Also I was just wondering if anyone heard anything about the rest of the squad from the beta leak/script leak? Who is returning as a permenant squadmate, who is temp, who is cameo, and who is new, and how many are new? If you have any info send me a message about it.)

Returning squaddies are Tali, Gar-bear, Liara, VS.



Newbs are Vega, Prothy the Prothean, and EDI in the body of an Android defeated on Mars. This android also happens to be hot and blond. Joker approves loudly and repeatedly. She does this so she can't be hacked and converted to the Reapers, because, as she puts it, she values her free will and her friendship too much to risk it. This way she would only die.

They aren't really 'permanent', you can assign them to certain missions at points in the story, and sometimes they leave the Normandy and you can't do anything about it. There's only one more new 'permanent' squadmate that lives on the Normandy (although the DLC character might be another one).

Without spoiling anything much; nearly every ME2 character comes back as a temp squadmate in some form, though some are cameos.

It looks like a smaller squad overall, though there's a lot of interaction with characters who exist on the Normandy or in the universe, but aren't squadmates.

From the sound of the spoilers (and trying to be as vague as possible), they're all getting the Liara!Lair of the Shadow Broker treatment, which is about what I expected since they all can die. Tali and Garrus just get free passes because they're super popular.

I hope that part about EDI isn't true, because it sounds so dumb. I don't know if it's just me, but I don't feel it makes any sense. Would it have really been that hard to just create a new hot blonde female squad-mate, instead of doing what they did with EDI?

Keep in mind that the leaked information wasn't final, and it's quite possible things (even the composition of the squad) have changed a bit since it was made.

Personally, I think it's a great idea and verily look forward to it. I don't know any of the details (won't be highlighting Pinecone's spoilers either!) but I love the concept and will more than likely be defending it come launch day.

huh. I'm actually pleased with this surprizingly. I would have liked Grunt, Mordin and Legion to return as long time squad mates but I guess I'm fine with longer term temporary.

It's actually far worse than what he described.  Among other things Joker and Shepard are also concerned that they might be getting TIM's sloppy seconds from it.

The Prothean has no name anyone can pronounce. "Prothy" is just something certain forum members came up with. EDI, well, that's actually true. Sad. A sentient starship is far more interesting than yet another humanoid team member.

Yep.

The Prothean was born during his cycle and pretty much grew up with nothing but death and destruction. He had to slice the throats of his indoctrinated friends and soldiers at one point.

EVA is pretty much a sexbot TIM invented because he was lonely and EDI took it over while it attacked Shepard. It specializes in infiltration and sabotage. A little like Legion, only more subtle.

Sorry bud, the Batarians just get a sh!tty side mission(and an extremly riduculous one at that). All that implication of the Batarians finally having a major role in the story based on Arrival's ending? Well, it turns out it's just a $7 reason to have Shepard start at Earth in ME3.

I assume the Prothean will be encountered on Mars as a guess considering Cerberus is there and there is ruins but athought it doesn't make sence yet it's good to have a Prothean.
