Buy the soundtrack?

I'm just wondering if the soundtrack will be available to buy legally from bioware for us that didn't get the CE.
Even though I think I already know the answer I'm asking anyway. If you dont ask you dont learn.
And sorry if this have been asked before. :innocent:

Buy, don't buy, buy, don't buy... still hesitating. Having the complete soundtrack is tempting... but one of the reasons to buy the CE was to get the soundtrack. And now I'd have to buy it anyway to get all of it. Why does it have to be this way?

I'm with Ragadurn on this one. I bought the CE and expected the full soundtrack, but alas we have to be happy with only getting half, and having to buy the soundtrack again to get the missing songs. What gives?
Because the game was released by Electronic Arts, du'h. Same reason as to why we have a NPCs in the camp pestering you about buying DLC.

I'll rather rip the tracks from the game than buy it twice. Yet another advantage of playing on PC.

It'd be nice to get an official statement on this.
Here ya go, straight from Electronic Art's HQ:

LOL!!! Are they going to tie a damsel in distress to the train tracks too?

There are 42 altogether - 35 on amazon, 18 on the CE; of which they hold 11 in common.

If there is one specific piece I can try to find it, but music tracks are much harder to find than the dialogue ones (see sig below).

Just as an FYI, there are several hundred pieces of music in the game (though I suspect not all used), so seeing a "complete" set released is highly unlikely.

If you don't mind me asking, what are you using to extract the sounds/music from the game? I wouldn't mind digging around myself.

Personally I use Sony Sound Forge 10 Pro.
FSB files can be picky if they don't have the proper (or any) header information in them for the files, and many don't.
Single files like leliana_sings.fsb only have the one file in the archive. Some FSB files have hundreds of files in them, or even 1,500 or more (I've been messing with plenty of these lately).
FSB stands for Fmod Sample Bank format. More info can be found here..... www.file-extensions.org/fsb-file-extension-fmod-sample-bank-format
Sound format mainly recommended for game consoles (PlayStation, XBox, GameCube) as optimal method to loading sound data to console sound RAM. 8 or 16 bit mono/stereo sound file, contains loops, names. Could be compressed.

A search for Dragon Age Origins on iTunes comes up with an album with 35 songs--looks like that's the complete thing.
35 Tracks on Amazon.com as well. Not sure if they match up completely however (Won't touch iTunes).
