Yep - a bonus character and mission are included in the ME3 CE. 

And we know it's not 'the Prothean', since that character plays too large a role in the main plot to be optional via DLC. 

The DLC character is someone else - we don't know who, though.

I would be extremely happy to get a Batarian squaddie. But since Batarians are mostly despised (not to say hated) by the players am not sure whether Bioware would like to explore the race and spend time/efforts on making a likeable Batarian squaddie. Guess some female N7 operative is more likely, meh.

Though some mild ME3 spoilers and the fact that Legion was included in ME2 (and became one of the fan favourites) give me hope.

Yeah, as I wrote his example gives me hope. Also, the fact that Batarians are not reduced to husks in ME3 is also reassuring.

Probably the Prothean. The bonus mission is probably Shepard finding him.

Yeah it makes sense that the mission would just be the recruitment mission.

But I've never heard of 'The Prothean', but I think it would be way too important for DLC. Certainly not a Collector's Edition only character. It could be another Prothean, but not this main one.

I really want it to be an old character, because I really didn't like having a completely new squad with me in ME2, even though Garrus was my favourite character. But now I really want more ME2 squaddies to come back.

The bonus character is Karl Lagerfeld and the bonus mission is about retrieving his designer N7 hoodie from Cerberus. Shepard will be able to wear it instead of his regular one and all female squadmembers will so envy

Kaidan or Vega wil be able to borrow it sometimes

I suspect it will probably be someone like Aria T'Loak or possibly Matriarch Atheyta - would be cool having Liara's 'father' along as a squadmate. Especially as Atheyta seems alot more likeable than other Asari matriarchs in the games. Though to be fair we've only seen two other matriarchs, one Benezia as an indoctrinated servant of the Reapers and the other Tevos the Asari councillor.

I love that we have to pay more for content already in the game.

Dragon age 2 DLC character sucked so badly. Sebastian was half assed. Silly missions. Little conversation. Some choir boy with a pike up his ass.. If ME3 DLC is like that. I do not want him/her.

I think a Prothean alive after 50,000 years is the stupidest idea ever. And since they made Arrival canon (even if you didn't play it) I can't see it being a Batarian since they all want to kill Shep.

And the DLC character would not be a former squadmate, that would be a horrible, horrible, idea. People would rage. They couldn't even do it considering what if that character was someone you let die at the end of ME2. It's a new character, hands down. And we do need a new female character since we got Vega, gotta keep it even.

A vigilante/infiltrator? Sounds like a replacement for people who got Garrus killed.

I really want Kasumi back in my squad. I would pay for a second DLC for her in ME3.
