What is the greatest story ever told?

Dune (Frank Herbert): Potential incest, grandiose setting, well-done evil villains, and a plot infamously "wound" so tightly that the tension is palpable. I love it. It's my favorite series, my favorite story, and its poor translation into movies and video games only signifies how well it's written. Just enough Sci-Fi to make things work, and loads of human retrospection.
Movie:
Aliens: Close to Jurassic Park for me, but you can't beat the ultimate Sci-Fi romp with a strong feminine lead and tons of guns.

She was was brilliant in Aliens, although one of my my favorite lines remains that of Vesquez...."let's rock!"

I always thought I Claudius was really great. The story had everything.

Anyone here who thinks thet shonen manga are full of cliché stories well I have news you will not know how the story of Hunter x Hunter will go, hell I can bet on it.
But really if One Piece is the epitome of shonen, than HxH is kind of shonen's deconstruction - the extremely cool black sheep of the family - but I love both very much.

Is it Show Girls?
My pick would be a story about a lovely lady who was bringing up three very lovely girls. All of them had hair of gold like their mother, the youngest one in curls. Its also a story about a man named Brady who was busy with three boys of his own. They were four men living all together, yet they were all alone. So the one day when the lady met this fellow and they knew it was much more than a hunch, that this group must somehow form a family and thats the way they became the Brady bunch.
