Are people complaining too much About what might/might not happen in ME3?

I'd say the same about you if it wasn't so frighteningly obvious that you are 100% serious about everything you say and do.Saphra Deden wrote...

Oh I don't know about that.
Moving on, why are you so opposed to any and all criticism of the games? Do you people just don't have the right to complain?

I'll complain when I have something to complain about. So far, I have seen nothing I dislike in ME3 that I feel the need to complain about (except the "Origin required for play"-business, which I'm not even nearly as passionate about as some other posters). Not even paragon choices backfiring spectacularly, which I think is perfectly acceptable. I was ready to bust out my complaining card when multiplayer was announced, but instead of jumping the gun with the retards I waited, watched and was positively surprised.Saphra Deden wrote...

I had loads of stuff to complain about with ME2 (or hell ME1), the biggest issue being the ridiculous Cerberus railroading treatment. But I dealt with it. Now, the exact thing is happening with the Cerberus fans and they can't just suck it up and deal with it like I did. Instead, we get a bunch of f***ing babies like Kaiser running all over the BSN sh!tting down threads with their bullcrap because they can't jump up and down on the Illusive Man's power pole.

If you have nothing complain about then don't complain. However there's no justification to tell people who do have something to complain about to just shut up.

Oh, so this is some kind of revenge then?

Yes, but that's the thing: that thing Cerberus fans are doing? That's not complaining. It's whining.Saphra Deden wrote...

That is only true if they can't offer any constructive criticism. Forgive me, but considering your attitude I really doubt they could say anything that you wouldn't call "whining".

So I see. Well I'd still call what you are doing "revenge" as well. You feel the developers railroaded you for ME2 so now, for some reason, you feel it is good they are railroading the other side.
Why do you feel that way? You are being very immature about this.
Clearly you know then that Bioware can make bad decisions with these games so why suddenly take their side when their poor direction favors you?
I'm a fan of Cerberus, but even I think ME2 did a very cheap job forcing Shepard to work with them.
I feel ME3 basically kicks the Renegade path in the nuts with the developers even referring to the Renegade path as "Failure". However I don't then suggest that it should be the opposite; that Paragon should turn out with everything bad and be considered internall the "Failure" path.
No, I just want some semblance of balance over all.
I wouldn't counter the railroading in ME2 with even more railroading in ME3. Instead I'd offer some degree of choice. The game is all about building Alliance so choice should be a huge factor as we choose who we will ally with. Who will help us and who won't.

There's a not-so-fine-line between constructive criticism and spewing venom, and this serial idiot Kaiser Shepard and his other butthurt buddies pretty much Karl Lewis long-jump it. They suck out discussion on would-be relevant topics about the game just to create flame-wars out of every damn thread. You can't even just ignore it because the whole topic gets hijacked and at that point there's no longer on-topic discussion to be found.
Pretty telling how they don't even stick around in a topic specifically about complaints. They can't actually back-up any of their gripes. Their objective isn't criticism, it's to stomp their feet about not getting what they want and making everybody know about it. And then taking out their anger on other fans and blaming them for not getting what they want.
I will definitely have complaints of my own after ME3 is over, I'm not expecting it to be perfect or anything. There are things in the leaks that I read that I was expressly hoping there wouldn't be, and seem likely to happen in the story, other things I'm worried they will miss. Thing is, mature discussion on those things can take place when there is something to have that discussion about.
The way it's going on now with "they've ruined the game/it's gonna suck" type criticisms is not fair, especially not to other fans who just want to enjoy those things that they ARE looking forward to. What is anyone even supposed to say to that? It's just an endless circle of "no it won't!" "-yes it will" and then paragon vs. renegade/Cerberus vs. anti-Cerberus and whatnot. After the umpteenth time it's just like - OK shut up already. You know?
It's bad enough they have nothing to contribute, but worst part is hijacking every discussion with that BS. It's worse than trolling, it's more like spam.

Let's see... complaints are bound to happen regardless, and this isn't nearly as bad as the Sonic fanbase. ~_^
Ain't that the truth, I was just thinking a few weeks ago that the only people who complain more about how the new stuff is sh*t is the Sonic fanbase. I think I'm the only person who actually likes Sonic 2006.

Don't get me wrong i agree, don't like it, don't buy it, is as simple a solution as there could be, i do disagree though that its only cerberus fans who are shouting their dislike, go into the VS threads or groups and you'll find some very angry people there also, but i i digress.
But we have Bioware on one hand telling people that they are tweaking the script still, so shouldn't people announce their feelings now also?
Personally i'm voting with my money, i'll buy, judge and decide for myself how i feel, whether i like or dislike what i see only time will tell, it doesn't stop me being more concerned than i really should be at this point, be it because of how certain people perceive what me3 will be like or my own feelings after reading the leaks.
As for the atheist, lmao i knew someone who did exactly that, only he also mooned the congregation on his way out, which is just another reason why i no longer go to church lol.
Nice post. I'm certainly in Alperez's camp. I'm pretty unhappy with certain things from the leak but i'll buy the game and make my final judgement then.

The very least they should have done was to plan for all six LI to be permanent squad members in ME3, or at least have the same level of play time as the VS.

You have been warned.
This is BSN. People whine if you point out their favourite characters do not actually in-the-game-codex-wiki possess the qualities they've given them and call 'canon' - *cough*Talifans/Mirifans*cough* - and they whine if you just drop in to say something as innocuous as how much you like the games.
My only real complaint - why not actually complain while I'm at it? - with the leak (Other than they adding the pointless Vega to the mix - aside from being a last minute contrivance and needless plot device, I can't see what real purpose he serves save as more lame meat for FemShep.) was that if you romanced anyone other than Ash, Kaiden, Tali or Liara, you are getting screwed and screwed bigtime storywise.
Ef'n cameos anyone? It feels like the writers just didn't give a damn if you liked someone else or not.
It makes me wonder why I even bothered taking the time to romance Jack, Miranda, Jacob or even Samara - (Garrus is kinda iffy) - and this "we're still tweaking" horsesh!t is just that - if they have that much of the story outlined, they are far past any major revision - especially since the bit you see with Mordin is damn-near halfway through the game.
In this instance, I think some of the complaints are justified. Regardless, I am still buying the CE and I'll still play the crap out of it - unless the game is a complete disaster (I'll have my N7 patch and memories of when it was epic) - then I'll just stash it and chalk it up to experience.
Still and all - it is four bleed'n months away. Things can happen between now and then.
