Hm? I now have about seventy mods and most of them are not cheating... some fix things that should be in the game, some add companion or a school of spells, most are cosmetic, adding more hairstyles, tattoos, etc. Leliana sings nicely, so what's bad in adding another song she can sing? Or if I add a mod that gives few extra cutscenes for my LI? And some mods actually make the game more difficult, not easier.
But yeah, some of them are cheats. Utility Sack, that gives you the possibility to sell items wherever you are or enchant items as you wish. I humbly admit it - I'm a cheater. Feel free to throw rocks.

On the other hand, I played DAO... I can't really count how many times. First few times without any mods at all. Now I like to experiment and I often check Nexus for new things. I installed Grey Wardens of Ferelden yesterday, for example, and I love it.
That's what I recommend to others - to first play the game as it is, then go and try whatever you want and play the way you want.
