After playing DA2 for a while I decided I should definatly get some trophies for DA:O again. I started playing and decided that my team would look like this
Main character
Spirit Healer/Blood Mage
Weapon: Staff of the Magister Lords
Helm: Cameo Cowl
Chest: Archon Robes
Gloves: *Varies *
Boots: Deygan's Boots
Amulet:Lifedrinker/Blood-Gorged Amulet
Ring 1: Lifegiver
Ring 2: Key to the City
Belt: Sash of Forbidden Secrets

Leliana
Bard/Ranger
Weapon: Farsong
Helm: Helm of Honnleath
Chest: Felon's Coat
Gloves: Repeater Gloves
Boots: Cadash Stompers
Amulet: High Regard of House Dace
Ring 1: Dusk Ring
Ring 2: Wicked Oath
Belt: Andruils Blessing/

Morrigan
Shapeshifter/ ?
Weapon:
Helm: Longrunners Cap
Chest:
Gloves: Varies
Boots: Fade Striders
Amulet:
Ring1:
Ring 2:
Belt: Destructionist belt

Shale
Stone heart/aura
Nature equips/ Varies

I am seeking feedback on this. Mostly for equips for Morrigan, talents by lvl and tactics. Any help would be appreciated.
Thanx in advance ^^
EDIT: I should note that I have Shale's DLC, Amgarrak and return to Ostagar.

Morrigan:
Either AW as second spec to equip strong 2H weapons to really take advantage of her shapeshifting abilities or spirit healer. Having her go AW doesnt necessarily mean that she will be tanking - you'll only need the first talent of the AW tree to let her grab a good weapon so spider/bear get a huge damage boost. You can let her keep her Robes of Possesion or maybe buy Reaper's Vestment to further augment her staying power while shapeshifted.
Talentwise, I'd say build her in such a way that she compliments the other caster well. With two mages you can cover a wide variety of spells, you'd normally not take like Sleep, Dispel Magic (might come in handy as you do not have a templar), Death Cloud, the hexes, etc. Maybe let her focus on spirit & cold damage while you deal fire & electricity?

Shale:
I wouldnt cast aside the other auras. Earthen Grasp is the best CC spell in the game, Hurl Rock is an excellent way to open up a battle (followed by Taunt and Quake). If they pile up on her, activate stone heart. It will take a lot of micro managing though which may put you off if you are more the non-pause DA2 action type.

Morrigan with aw, seems reasonable since I already go Spirit healer & Blood mage. For Shale I stich with those 2 trees since she is a tank, not a damage dealer, and I can open up with a fireball too so. The other trees for shale can come later. Any recommendations about the tactics and missing equips.

Shale - build the Stoneheart tree first and fully. As a spellcaster with Morrigan and Leliana, a tank of some description will go a long way. Something to keep the heat off the other three...

Actually I've just typed that and noticed you intend to use Morrigan as a Shapeshifter. But then again shapeshifter's don't make great tanks. They might be able to take a few more blows, but there's no threat generation there...

So yeah, Stoneheart (and 38 STR/MAX CON build) Shale all the way.

Thought so. And since morrigan comes with the Shapeshifter tree I want to keep her like that. AW is just to keep her less squishy. I could use Wynne or so instead but I want her for storyline reasons.
For now I have this:
Main character: Pump MAG
Spirit Healer/Blood Mage
Weapon: Staff of the Magister Lords
Helm: Cameo Cowl
Chest: Archon Robes
Gloves: *Varies *
Boots: Deygan's Boots
Amulet:Lifedrinker/Blood-Gorged Amulet
Ring 1: Lifegiver
Ring 2: Key to the City
Belt: Sash of Forbidden Secrets

No tactics, Using Haste, and randomly throwing fireballs or the flame cone.

Leliana 30DEX, rest in CUN
Bard/Ranger
Weapon: Farsong
Helm: Helm of Honnleath
Chest: Felon's Coat
Gloves: Repeater Gloves
Boots: Cadash Stompers
Amulet: High Regard of House Dace
Ring 1: Dusk Ring
Ring 2: Wicked Oath
Belt: Andruils Blessing
Ranged:
Self: HP<25% > use health poultice (lowest)
Self: attacked by melee attack > Dirty Fighting
Enemy: nearest visible mage > pinning shot
Enemy: rank = boss or higher > Mark of Death
Enemy: clustered with 3 or more > Jump to 9
Enemy: high or mid armor > Shattering shot
Enemy: rank = elite or higher > crippling shot
Self: attacked by melee attack > attack
Enemy: target of Shale > attack
Enemy: target of Shale > Scattershot

ok she doesn't have everything yet, but working on it. I use song of valor and aim.

Morrigan Pump MAG
Magister's Staff (as a shifter)/ Marics Blade+Cailens Shield (as an auto-attacker)
Longrunner's Cap
Wade's Superior Dragonskin set
Amulet: Heart of Witherfang or Spellward
Ring1:Ring of the Warrior
Ring 2: The Lucky Stone (if you can get it)
Belt: Destructionist belt

No tactics whatsoever... I put her into spider form...

Shale 38 STR Rest in CON
Mostly Nature crystals
Aggressive:
Self: hp<50% > use health poultice (highest)
Self: stamina > 10% > Stoneheart
Self: Stamina < 10% > Stone Aura
Enemy: rank = boss or higher > Taunt
Enemy: nearest visible > Taunt
Enemy: attacking Wynne > Stone Roar
Self: surrounded by 2 or more enemies > Bellow
Enemy: rank = elite or higher > Stone Roar
Self: surrounded by 2 or more enemies > Regenerating burst

I love Alistair... he is a great tank. But Shale is way better and cannot be picked up!
If anyone can give some input in this I would be real glad
Thanx in advance.

morrigan, give her chasind great maul with hale rune. jugeernaut armour and ring of ages. the other ring depends on you are more in spirit or frost line. set morrigan as debilitator and second tank. use tactice as when her mana less than 25%-activate bear form, healp less than 50%, turn off bear form and heal.
enemy clustered with 3 or more, caste sleep. enemy nearest visble, cone of cold. allies health less than 25%, force field with the spell resist and hale rune, morrigan can tank abit. equip her with winter breath if you are into the frost line. another possible is enemy using ranged attack, sleep. this will allow you to deal with the melee attackers first before the ranged attackers.

I just had a talk with someone else. And I want Morrigan to be an auto attacker. Thus I want to use the above setting for her. Since Shale is good enough for a tank I want her to deal damage instead of tank. Her swarm form uses up lots of mana though, so using spells with her isn't an option. The build above has a mistake btw, Leliana isn't a ranger, but an assassin. Still, I don't know the tactics for my main char and Morrigan. I think I want to use my main as elemental nuker/ healer/ status infliction mage.
If anyone can give me tactics like the template above I would be really glad.

warden
self health<50% deactivate blood magic
self health <50% heal
allies health<75% group heal
allies health <50% heal
self any activate blood magic
allies health>=90% blood savrifice
enemy at long range affliction hex
enemy at long range fireball
enemy at short range vulnerability hex
enemy at short range flame burst

morrigan
self mana>=90% activate swarm form
self mana,25% activate bear form
self health <50% deactivate bear form
self health <50% heal
self mana < 25% use lyrium potion strongest
enemy nearest attack
the above is the tactics for your warden and morrigan for a shapeshifter auto attack buld. the order of tactics is very important here.
if anyone can think of a better tactics for morrigan, do suggest. never done a shapeshifter before, but the tactics seem best to make full use of her shapeshifter ability for auto attack.

This mostly works, I Changed some spells in the tactics for my main character depending on the situation. I use frost more since it also stuns them, for zombies and funnies I keep fireball and flame burst. I have lots of tactics slots so I also put Self: any, Activate haste/ Spell whisp.
As for Morrigan I still have a problem, She attacks just fine as an auto attacker atm. Yet when she goes into bear form, she doesn't come out of it. Even after battle. Where should I put the deactivate bear form in the list? And what should be the condition?

try this, self >=90% mana deactivate bear form and put it at the last tactic slot. since your mana will regen till full at end of combat, that will deactivate bear form. but it might cause some problem as it will shapeshift to swarm form due to my earlier tactics. perhaps you can chand the swarm form to activate at <90% mana. this should allow you to cast some magic before you shapeshift.
