 We all have our favorite Shepard Bio combo. Let's see who can come up with the most interesting bio, regarding the background choices you all have made!

Here's mine:
Space/Sole Survivor/Vanguard

Both of my parents were in the
Alliance military. I spent most of my childhood on ships and stations as they
transferred from posting to posting. I didn’t mind. It gave me the chance to
explore different places and go beyond Earth. So, when I turned eighteen, I
decided to follow in my parent’s footsteps and joined the Alliance military …
mostly because I thought it would be like an adventure and because the military
was more accepting of biotics. One of my first missions was an expedition to
investigate Akuze, a lush world on the outskirts of Alliance space that had
suddenly dropped out of contact. If any place in the universe could rival the
Garden of Eden, it would be Akuze. When we arrived on the surface, we found the
settlement intact, but there were no survivors. We decided to make camp and
continue the search in the morning. At nightfall, the thresher maws struck –
mindless bastards of teeth and tentacles that rose from beneath the ground.
Constant gunfire couldn’t drown out the shrieks of my comrades as they were
dragged down to a gruesome death. Fifty marines died. In our darkest moments,
when life flashes before us, we find something that keeps us going. Something
that pushes us. When all seemed lost, I found a truth … And I knew what I must
become. I was the only one to make it back to the landing zone alive.

 My spacer/sole-survivor is a whimp who was wrongly promoted in his military career lmao. He pretty much crapped his pants and ran from the Thresher Maw in terror, but the story of him being the only survivor made Alliance brass think it was some sort of incredible feat and testament to his skill, and his family ties helped him as well.

Literally all his decision-making spawns from fear.

Lol. My Shepard's a Spacer Warhero. He actually lost his fiancee on Elysium. Got pissed off a dropped off the Radar for a while. Ran into Anderson by Accident a year later, by which time he was struggling with a red-sand addiction. Anderson and a family friend helped him get over it and consoled him. Anderson kept an eye on him from then on and by the time ME1 starts, he's been clean for about six years.

Max Shepard was raised by space-faring, militaristic parents who instituted firm and uncompromising values in their son. He took no **** and killed everyone at Torfan in revenge for the attack on Elysium in which his Uncle Ben was incinerated. He boldly worked to carve a place for humans in the galaxy and yet, in his quest to stop Saren from destroying it, he learned the value of working with other species, seeing the physical and intellectual gifts they brought to combat and problem-solving. He became close to Garrus, very fond of the regimented Turian way of life. The Turian Councillor initially butted heads with Max over his methods but soon came to respect him as the son he never had. Max melted the rachni because they were gross but spared Shiala because she was not. Max had always had a thing for asari, though he kept what he considered his unnatural perversion to himself. Max saved the Destiny Ascension from destruction all for the sake of his second father, the Turian Councillor.

One day Max died in a Collector attack but was revived to fight another day. He rebuilt his stats and saved the human colonies from their possessed abductors, gaining many new allies along the way, including an army of geth. Max was still wary of other species and kept them at arms length but knew they might be needed for the coming storm. During a suicide mission against the Reaper allies, the Collectors, he got everyone out alive, except Jacob, who volunteered for death in the shaft despite being unqualified for the job. Max also rescued his entire crew and blew the base up, leaving the galactic core in flames of victory. He arrived home to find that one of his new friends, Morinth, was offering herself to him sexually as a sort of post-mission relaxant. He accepted the offer and died in bliss, never to see the Reaper invasion.
