I am sure this is in the 100 page long Sebastian shrine area, but I'd rather not have to comb it if someone is willing to give me a quick description of what Sebastian rivalmance might be like for a warrior FemHawke who fully intends to be unjust to every mage and consider herself Meredith's protege ?
I've almost fully rivaled him (early/mid Act 2) by gaming the rivalry point opportunities on the Wiki - I'm just curious as to what it's like to be rivalmanced with him or if I want to take a swing at another friendly romance with Fenris (who is hotness and who I usually romance) before I miss a window.

Sebastians Rival romance is more like a "Let's wait and see" romance.
They have romantic tensions, but Sebastian doesn't seem ready to commit himself because he focuses on Starkhaven.
However, he does suggest that the Vicountess of Kirkwall and the Prince of Starkhaven, through Marriage, would be the strongest alliance the Free Marches have ever seen.

Both are boring. Neither make sense. Especially as to rival sebastian you basically have to kill alot of random people to get him annoyed.
Normal romance you supposibly get married and you become a chantry sister, rivalmance he tries to retake starkhaven and will come to you when he has it.

You obviously never really worked with Sebastian. Being harsh and steadfast towards demons and supporting his clain to Starkhaven is more than enough to almost secure a full rival bar, just by doing his quest in act 2 alone. That and having him in the party when you go to the fade will max it.
As for if they make sense.... I don't see why not, certainly doesn't make any less sense than the others.

hm I end up getting him back towards neutral in Act 3 when he has his personal quest which gives lots of friendship unless you demand the chantry to march on the city.
I mean sure once I've rivalmanced him, but felt weird since when I did have him I was trying to be nasty rather than politically opposed to him.

I can't see why you would romance someone you're nasty towards anyway.
F and R points are never a issue for me in Act 3, they are all always maxed early in act 2.

Sorry for the slow response to my own thread - schoolwork reared its ugly head and then I was playing Assassin's Creed for awhile there too. I am reading that Sebastian romance (on either side of the F/R bar) isn't worth it. I think I will give myself another go with Fenris then, because he's steamy. Also... Sebastian's not my favorite character to begin with - I was just curious. Too bad I've already rivaled him at this point... hm... well, we'll see what happens. I may toss the whole game and start afresh or just deal with what I have (rebuilding saves after my PS3 died)
