GFWL completely broke our Fallout 3 game. I refuse to play any game that uses it.naughty99 wrote...
Is it more like FO3 or Arkham Asylum?
The GFWL for Fallout 3 was not so bad.

GFWL is a prime example of software built to work against the user and in almost all cases I will avoid anything that uses it. Arkham City was just too good.

If you don't have these yet, this is a great price!
I wish the DLC for Dragon Age 2 was available on Steam.

Speaking of which, does anyone know if the unofficial patch works seamlessly in the Steam version as well? The game is not really playable without it.

Yes, indeed, the unofficial patch works fine with Steam version.
EDIT: Another crazy deal for a game I never heard of before - Xeno Clash is on sale for $0.99
Anyone tried this before?
Zeno Clash is an action/fighting game set in a punk fantasy world. The game is played from a first person perspective and the combat is generally up close and brutal.
Players will play the role of Ghat, the son of a impressive hermaphrodite creature called Father-Mother, whose children form the most powerful clan in the city of Halstedom. Ghat must escape from his family and start an incredible journey with his female companion Deadra, who will aid him in the dangerous lands of Zenozoik.

Kind of unsure about that deal, if I get those two I would like to have ME3, the only problem with that is that I won't enjoy ME3.

If you haven't tried ME3, it's a decent game, personally I enjoyed it more than ME2 or ME1. But it's probably never going to be available on Steam.
EDIT: nvm I see you already have ME2 and ME3 badges

Yeah I had it for 360. I didn't hate ME3 completely but sometimes it pissed me off. Maybe with mods I can change that.

Unfortunately I don't think there any mods available at all for any of the Mass Effect games other than cosmetic stuff or texture packs, etc.

I know and I'm having a real hard time deciding if I should buy it or not.

Also, does anyone know when Vampire: The Masquerade Bloodlines is on sale? For an eight year old game 25% off suprising.

So is KotOR II worth buying? I've heard it's buggy but it's by Obsidian so I'm willing to give it a shot.
Yes, great game, although I've never played KOTOR1, so I can't compare the two.

The only bug I encountered with the latest fan patch was the rare dialog played at light speed. So you won't catch what an NPC says once every few hours or so.
The game is noticably unfinished and some of the narrative design is imo very bad; however, there are some instances of brilliance during the game.

IIRC there is some mod that restores most of that unfinished content.

That is what I meant by the 'fan patch'.

Thats because its an Activision published game. They rarely have big discounts for their games- just look at how expensive all of the Call of Duty games remain when they're on sale, even older ones like Modern Warfare.
I don't think Bloodlines has been on a Daily Deal or anything yet though. I think the cheapest I remember seeing it on past Steam sales was around $5 or so.

Bought it for $5 during a Steam daily deal myself.

Set the game not to run automatic updates and put Steam offline. We have a problem because unfortunately I installed Steam in the programs folder on a Win 7 PC, so every time I restart Steam I have to go in to the game files and set Steam's and the game's exe to run as administrator.termokanden wrote...

I got it on sale at some point, I think for 7 or 8 bucks. Easily worth that.

Activision....<sigh>
I'll keep an eye out for a daily sale then. Thank you.
