Has anyone tried Rock of Ages? I love the look of it and it looks like some goofy fun.

Another reason I love the Steam sales- the illustrations!

I have also played Rock of Ages, it's pretty goofy fun and a good deal at $5. The trailer is pretty accurate, you control a rock, rolling through history and smashing many things along the way. I just hope it does well enough for ACE  to come out with some DLC, with more historical and artistic periods in particular

I'll probably end up getting it just for something of a change of pace game. But I must abide by the one Sacred Rule for Steam Sales:

I just made an impulse buy of it because I couldn't sleep...

So far, I'm having a lot of fun with it & at the Sale Price it's well worth taking a chance on.

Funny, easy interface, and randomly generated Dungeons so I'm looking forward to a lot of replay value. It's a nice little Game when you're playing something "deeper" to use as a break.

I bought it too - $1.24(!) That's less than half the price of a cup of coffee.

How bad can it be?

I got gifted Orcs must DIE! (and DLC). Steam sales are great because people buy stuff because it's cheap and give it me because their own games backlog is too massive.
Whats Fable 3 like?

That's why love Magicka and its DLCs. Lot's fun in between other games. :)

You know that is a good point I have around that much left on my gift card after buying the New Vegas DLC I didn't have already and Psyconauts I just bought Cave Story+ and Braid and was looking at this Dungeons and Dreadmor.
I hate that steam deals is the only way I even look at these Indie titles I feel ashamed I mean I just noticed Super Meat Boy for the first time.

Yup, it is just cheap enough. Never hurts asking though - I'd hate to have a sub-par game on my steam's-list.

Regarding indie titles, I do have to recommend one: Capsized!!
Amazing gameplay, atmosphere, bewitching music, imho.

And Yet It Moves and Osmos are other personal favorites that are really well done. The first artistically, the second via ingenious game-design and, again, atmosphere...

And they're all for a buck or two! -75%!!! :)

editedit: The super indie bundle looks awesome as well - I would buy it without hesitation if I already hadn't gotten Limbo at -75%, a few days ago... :(

Bought it and already on my hard drive tiny little downloads that take 2 minutes tops lol.
Gonna jump in shower then try out this Cave Story+ before I hit the hay.

I didn't have Steam until I bought a Hard-Copy of FO:NV earlier this year, and I really do love the way they provide such a great outlet for Indie developers! There are a ton of Titles I probably never would have even heard of let alone bought.

An Indie I bought and enjoyed was "Avadon: The Black Fortress" by SpiderWeb...it was a much larger Game than I thought it would be at first...it's certainly not going to appeal to everyone, but it does have a nice Old-School RPG feel to it.

"Cthuhlu Saves the World" is also pretty funny and a nice diversion...during the Autumn Sale I picked it and "Breath of Death VII" up for $1

I was this close to buying Cthulu Saves the World but then I saw "A throw back to old 1990s JRPGs" and I just said no thanks. Turned based RPGs are like the bane of my existence.

It's not a AAA game, by any means...but it is pretty funny especially if you are a Lovecraft fan and is intentionally designed to look like an old 16bit console Game...if the two-pack goes on Sale again this time, I'd say give it a try. It is the kind of Game you play about 15 minutes at a time...

No grand purchases during the sale yet. I'm so broke right now the meager prices most of these games are going for is still too expensive. I did receive gifts yesterday. That was cool. Only downside was two friends gifted me the same game thirty minutes apart, and one may now be out their money due to Steam client weirdness. >.<

Cave Story is fun. I would still be playing it but its extremely late as it is and I have to be up in the morning.
Old school platforming at its best. With a STORY O.o

Hello guys, the half life pack is 9.99 now. Is there anyone here who played the whole series and might recommend it? or perhaps I should get only the better games instead of buying the whole pack? Thanks.

Well an hour and a half of sleep and its just not happening need to be up in 2 and a half hours anyway no point I'll probably be more tired with that sleep anyway.
Think I'll try Braid out for a bit.

And yes the Half-Life collection is more than worth it hell Half-life and Half-life 2 are worth that much alone.
I'd buy this if I didn't already have everything on there lol.

Hi Gang!

Just a quick heads-up...

I'm not going to be able to do the Daily Steam post today, I have to go out (Yes, I do occasionally leave the Cave) So everyone should check out Today's Special Deals when they get the chance.

Good Gaming!
