Ok, so I would like to make a module that updates the single player campaign, but so far all the tutorials I have found revolve around making a new module. So I would like to know:
1. How do I open the core single player game to edit it? When I manage the Single Player campaign, the Area list is empty
2. What's the safest way to export my work so everyone else can use these?
3. I can't log into the Wiki, I just get a blank page, even after clearing cookies. How do I fix so hopefully in the future I can answer these questions myself?
Noob questions, I know.
Best way to make changes to single player campaign?

Ok, so I'm making changes to come base creatures and exporting them so I can use them in my Override folder, but that doesn't give me access to named human bosses, as they all use the same base creature. How do I find those?

3. I had this issue before, switching browsers fixed it. You could also try a program like CCleaner.
Not sure on the more technical stuff, but I would imagine that named bosses are tied to the specific areas they appear in and may not be a part of the resources available in the toolset. (That's all speculation though)

Yes, this was my eternal question that nobody answered until I stumbled in a post from a Bioware person (sorry, forgot who) saying that all the OC content is locked and will be released in another toolset version.
So, until then, just practise making a new module.

I did a considerable amount of reading before I wrote my tutorial that you might find handy for editing the single player campaign but its not what you what your asking for, but it is the best way to make changes.
Here it is.
http://www.theengine...cation-tutorial
Regarding your specific issue.
Only 1 mod can edit a default item from the game, so if you make the changes, you might have problems with other mods.
Also I read that the default entries for items in the toolkit do not currently match the game and that causes a failure to load problem, so you might not want to edit the singleplayer game in that way just yet.
I hear bioware are planning on updating the toolkit to include the correct data as soon as they get time. After 16th Nov some time was all they said.
So my advice would be wait for that update or ask around for more details on this, my own memory is a little vague on it to be honest.

In my case I want to add new or existing characters to different parts of campaign with new dialogue followed by cutscenes (kill, romance, dance, etc).
Is that possible to do? Any tutorials?

giskard, yup, all signs point to "wait for the new toolset release" so for now I'm just honing my skills outside the core game until I can get my hands on that stuff.
gives me time to start brainstorming for my first real module.
