Or maybe a bundle for those of us who like to spread holiday cheer electronically? ^_^

I heard they're coming out with a new story DLC where Hawke investigates a rash of disappearances in the Alienage. The quest leads Hawke to the town of Wildervale, where a grossly obese old man named Santaklaas has enslaved the elves to toil in his 'workshop' and craft toys for the children of Kirkwall. Hawke learns that Santaklaas has become possessed by a hunger demon and has hatched an evil plan to steal all cookies in Kirkwall on the eve of Satinalia.

Hawke's companions decide to pony up some cash and get a bathroom built in the Hawke estate.

If they do holiday-oriented DLC, I hope it's something story driven and not just a series of items. Holidays are something that's been rather minimal so far in the Dragon Age series.

At the very least, I'd like to see some kind of DLC announced as a christmas present from Bioware, even if not holiday themed in and of itself. Legacy and Mark of the Assassin were both great, so more of that in any form would make one fantastic "stocking stuffer".

Well, Mark of the Assassin came out October 11th and Legacy came out July 26th. So about 2.5 months apart or so.

With Mark of the Assassin they seemingly tried to coordinate that release with the webseries. So you've got Gaider's DA book coming out in December I think, followed by the comic coming out in February and the anime coming out in February. I'd guess they'd only put out an item pack or something in December with any other actual DLC not coming until January or February to come out alongside the comic/anime.

It will be an Armor/Weapons DLC. I don't want to use a spoiler, but there will be a lot of red and white involved. The mage's staff looks delicious.

Story based DLC possibility: The Grinch is an ancient blood mage.

I expect the leaked "fan reward pack" to be given out this Christmas break.
But I would like for it to be a story DLC instead...
Or even the final Item Pack... Because I expect a third... call it intuition.

Hawke has a bathroom. It's right there next to the bed where Hawke makes sexytime with the potential love interests.

I hear it's a powerful aphrodisiac, that.

No, not with TOR in December and ME3 in March.

Hopefully we'll get one next summer.

Well there was only about 2months between Legacy and MotA, so we'll see...I'm not holding my breath.

Much as I love DA2 and its DLCs, Idon't know if my fragile geeky mind can cope with more gaming goodness for the foreseeable - Between Skyrim, TOR beta test then actual release, Final Fantasy XIII-2 in Feb. not to mention ME3 demo and final release, I'm in manic game-overload as it is.

I'll never get any work done at this rate.

Ah, frell it, bring it on...^^

Since I found some interesting files in (Legacy): The Shriek Assassins called Howlers were reinstated to the world of Dragon Age 2. Their models are in Legacy, but do not appear in the adventure. I guess bioware will use them for a later DLC.

Honestly, I think the artists just kept working on the monster models even after the game shipped (the genlock, genlock alpha, hurlock alpha, bronto, shriek, wyvern, etc.).

To me, it's insane to think they'd do all that just for DLC, so I believe these are models they either planned for DA2 or the expansion or that they want for DA3 (since they said they mostly plan to keep the new darkspawn appearance, they probably won't start over with all-new models again).

Meaning you may never see shrieks in DA2, even if they put out more story DLC. But now they have them for use in later games.

Don't forget the special cameo by Sten to help Hawke "liberate" the Kirkwall Cookies ;x

If we were going to get any story DLC before Christmas we would've gotten a trailer by now. Maybe around January?

I'd say it's more likely we'll get Item Pack 3 in December and probably the next story DLC in January or even February.

Seeing how they have the future of the company largely riding on the SWToR success, i'd expect they avoid publishing anything that'd be considered distractions at the time of its launch.

A christmas DLC would be foolish considering the huge competition that is Skyrim and STOR (competition with their own company lol.) But I would love to see some tbh, but aslong as it's well developed and good as the last two, then I'm happy.
