Corruption of Older Blog Entries when Posting a New Blog

I had posted a new blog this evening, and although I followed the same protocol I normally do (used bbcode tags, had the bbcode setting "on" and active, checked the posting in preview, etc), the blog posted with the tags visible. I attempted to edit the blog to no avail - the tags continue to show. When I did a quick search on My Blog Entries, I discovered that all of my previously posted blogs had somehow converted to a format where the bbcode tags were visible.

I'm not sure what occurred, and I'm very uncertain how in the posting of one blog, my archive was altered. Any assistance you could provide would be appreciated, as I don't even know how to begin to edit over 40+ entries.

Much obliged.

I just noticed this as well.  In fact, I can pinpoint it to occurring within the last 48 hours because I was reading someone's blog, refreshed (for some reason, don't remember why) and suddenly the dreaded nbsp showed up.  I don't even copy my stuff in from Word, I copy it in from stripped down ASCII editors.

Any chance this could get fixed, or reason why it happened?  I really don't want to stop using the blog feature, but I'm OCD and it is a bit annoying. Image IPB

I have noticed this too.

Many 'spacebar characters' have been replaced with ' '.

This was caused by a security fix we deployed 2 days ago. We have just deployed new code that fixes most of these formatting issues.

@whykikyouwhy - unfortunately this doesn't appear to have fixed all your formatting issues.  BBCode is supported by they blogs but HTML is not.  Did you enter in the <p> tags in manually or were they autoinserted by the blog text editor?

I entered the <p> codes manually. It's what I've done for all of my blogs, as the standard BBCode never seemed to work for me. (I had experimented a bit when first using the blog feature.) So I've done all of the formatting in Word/notepad, dropped into the blog text field with the BBCode function activated, and posted. That's been the only thing that ever seemed to take.

I appreciate the response though, Mr. Rousell.

I suppose I should start trying to reformat/repost the older entries.

Much obliged.
