This doesn't appear to work with SoZ spells, possibly others as well. I haven't tried applying it to many base items, however the iprp_spells.2da columns don't have different entries than the other spells. Anyone got anything on this issue?

Sorry, I have never used the property. A quick workaround could be to write a quick item-tag script. I know it would be a pain to make all the animations and VFX happen and all, but it could be a last resort.

That's way too much work for my purpose. I'd rather just not have SoZ spells as an option, but I'm not quite at that point.
Try this: Add the item property cast spell lesser acid orb to a wand, or likely any item, then try to use that property in game. For me it doesn't appear when trying to use the item, but does appear as a property in the description. This is only for SoZ spells from what I've noticed. I'm trying to figure out why this is the case.

I've created wand-like items using SoZ spells without any difficulty. There's an object that casts Orb of Electricity in the plot path for good characters in Isle of Shrines, for instance.
Are you giving the item any charges in the Properties tab, or setting it to charges per day in the cast spell properties settings?

You're right, it was my fault. I had an old spells.2da in my override from a different portion of my project.
