I totally just finished ME.  I loved it.  I hope we can still continue with Kaiden in ME2.  So I did the kiss scene several times as I thought I picked the wrong dialogue and was interrupted by Joker.  You have to wait till the very end for the love scene, but well worth it.  I think the romance dialogue was better if you chose the renegade speach.

The dialogue I liked the best or the closest one to what I would really say was the thing about Shepard not remembering Kaidan ever serving under her.

The end.....first, I thought I died.  I didn't. And I also had thought I chose the wrong option.  I chose to Sovyrn. It was actually a great choice.  I really did hate that council.  I hung up on them so many times. And I chose Capt. Anderson for the council and played the renegade in the end and told them to deal with the politics I'm gonn'a go kick some ghet butt.

I have several different saves...I wanted to see where each one would go in ME2. As for continuing the romance with Kaidan in ME2...lot of controversy over that...According to spoilers you can't recruit any of your ME1 love interests in ME2 and the ME1 romance doesn't have a prominent(probably not using the right word here) place in ME2...however the word is that they kept the ME1 love interests from being recruitable so they wouldn't die this round because they want you to be able to keep the original ME1 love interest all the way through ME3. Good news is that we at least get to see him again.

The only thing that could have been better...Was a followup to Shepherd and Kaiden now that they had a little time to kill.Image IPB

:lol:One word...fanfiction.

And what's with the end of the love scene and Shepherd is looking down at Kaiden and joker comlinks them!?! He gets all business like and kills the mood and then tries to say be careful I care for you.

Yeah that reaction had a lot of people talking...I think someone even put a youtube video up titled something along the lines of Kaidan's bedside manners. They either gave Raphael Sbarge bad acting directions on that or they left the line out completely and had it recorded for some other part of the story and then inserted it there instead of calling him back in to read the line. They're a couple of other places where I thought his acting was somewhat off...at the end when Shepard is about to make the choice I took Liara and Kaidan....Liara talks in a normal voice and Kaidan practically yells your head off. It didn't mesh so well but overall I liked his voice for the part. It really sounds nice in the quiter more intimante moments with your femshep.

I' don't think I caught that dialogue  about Kaiden serving under!?!  However, I was playing my Shepherd pretty serious.  I think next round I'm going to cut loose and not care about the paragon points. Like I said before there a little renegade in Shepherd.

I haven't seen much of the plot trailers for ME2, only the new characters. The chick with all the tatoos is a little scary.  Do you think there will be knew romance options in ME2? Where did you hear the info on ME3?

Definately hoping for more character interaction  like we got in DAO. By the way DAO made be Role Playing Game of he year.

Oh, I really hope ME2 will have more interactions!!! This is what is driving me to keep replaying the game over and over again. There should be at least as much interactions as in Dragon Age, or possibly more. I could always have more...

The chick with the tattoos is Subject Zero and yeah she's a little on the scary side. There is supposed to a lot more romance options in ME2 than there was in ME. Personally, I have no intention of taking any of them. I'm sticking with Kaidan even if I can't interact with him...there is a possibility that the other love interests if they are on your squad are going to be killed in the end anyway.

You can find tons of info here meforums.bioware.com/viewforum.html

Some of the stuff on the forum is directly from the developers so it's accurate. Some of it's from previews...some of it just speculation. They've even got a video(in German) posted on there from the opening of the game.

Someone just said recently that you get a cameo with Kaidan/Ash/Liara and that if you keep them as your love interest that you can exchange e-mails with them throughout the game. I don't know how accurate that is.

Some of us were speculating that the love interest may play a bigger role than that in helping to gather intel for Shepard since that is going to be part of making your mission successful. There is good reason to suspect that since Liara will be working for the Shadow Broker and Ash/Kaidan are high ranking officials in the Alliance(with more than likely a lot of access to classified information). Just speculation of course.

The developers did say that the ME1 love interests were excluded from the squad in ME2 because they wanted to keep them from being killed (I think they said that any and all of the ME2 squad members can die in this one). Evidently they needed to keep them from dying because they play some sort of role in ME3 that is important to the over all story.

Oh, I really hope ME2 will have more interactions!!! This is what is
driving me to keep replaying the game over and over again. There should

I'm all for more interaction and dialog but I don't want crappy endings that make me keep scrambling to make the right choices just so I can try and get a good ending. Once again...thats why I'm sticking with Kaidan...he can't die and I'll see him in ME3.

Not as a squad member. You have a cameo with him...whether that translates into a reunion love scene or not I don't know. As I said in the other post someone said you will be able to email him. I'm suspecting that there may be more interaction than that but I do know that he will not be on the new ship. The only two from the old Normandy said to be on the ship from reviews of the demos was Joker and Chakwas.

Tali's back, definitely  I've heard rumors Garrus is, too.  (I hope those two aren't possible casualties!)

Guess we play DA:O for a month before we find out.

Good thing I think I like Valentine's voice over Sbarge's.  (Just to bring this back on topic.)

I think Garrus is back, he appears in one of the trailers.

And yes, Alistair's dubbing is absolutely amazing and, after several games, his dialogues are basicly the only ones I never skip.

If it's any consolation, people have mentioned that the reason Kaiden/Ashley won't be available in ME2 is because they are a planned to be a critical element in the last game, and need to be protected from the possibility of death in this one.  So maybe this is a case where a little delayed satisfaction will pay off in an even better end game story?

Or maybe it's a cruel test of your love.  Hahaha, it would be hilarious if you get screwed in the third game if you cheat on Kaiden in the second one.

Tali is a squad member and Garrus is thought to be one as well though he is not confirmed and yes they can die depending on your choices...I think that any of the squad members can die depending on your choices.

Though I don't understand the developers when they say that they didn't make them squad members so that they couldn't die. Liara was a squad member in ME1 and she couldn't die. They could have wrote it in such a way that the ME1 squad members could be recruitable up to a point but not just for the final part of the mission where it is possible to be killed. You know maybe Shepard tells them at the last minute in the final stretch they can't go. Just black them out from the possibilities to be chosen.

I'm thinking that the real reason may be that by holding them back in ME2 they can bring them back in ME3 as almost new characters(since there will probably be few choices involving them in ME2). Or maybe the devs just got over zealous with creating all the new characters and there wasn't any room left for them.

And although I love accents I personally prefer Sbarrge's voice. When he lowers it when talking intimately with Shepard it's absolutely perfect...very romantic.

Or maybe it's a cruel test of your love.  Hahaha, it would be hilarious
if you get screwed in the third game if you cheat on Kaiden in the
second one.

The devs did say that those who cheated would end up being a statistic. I won't be cheating though. My canon femshep views Kaidan as the love of her life and my renegade maleshep is a tough single guy that's not really interested in romance of any kind.

I think that a lot of people who have to try out every romantic possibility are either just trying to get the acheivements or they just want to see all the different love scenes and how they play out. They really aren't roll playing at all.

Then again maybe they just aren't satisfied with their choice. I tried Zevran because I didn't like Alistair after I found out he might dump you, sleep with Morrigan, etc. I really didn't like either choice in the end. Kaidan on the other hand I liked even before I romanced him as a femshep...I had played as a maleshep first and loved his character from the first.

Why do I get the feeling its going to be a Han-Solo-in-Carbonite/ Cap't-Jack-Sparrow-eaten-by-a-giant-squid ending for Shepard in ME2?

Not that I'm complaining.....

I really hope they don't do that for DA:O, though.

Only one of the endings will have him/her dying and that's really only if you don't collect all the information you need for the final quest and win the loyalty of your squad members. And he will be really dead according to what they are saying...even if they rebuild him at the beginning of ME2 it won't be happening in ME3...or at least I think that's what the developers have said.I'm going to use my MaleShep save to make sure he dies. I'm curious as to how they will bring you back as a "different" Shepard in ME3.

To be honest I don't think they could bring back many of the characters of DAO for DAO2. I mean the Grey Wardens themselves have such short lifespans...it's not like they are continuing their fight with the archdemon...that's been taken care of. With ME you've got a continuing threat of the Reapers. To bring back the DAO characters you'd have to have a new threat to everyone as deadly as the archdemon. I think that since the archdemons don't show up that often we are more likely to see the descendents of the DAO characters. Might see Morrigan's demon baby though if you chose that option...who knows how long it might live.

Ok, this has got to be the most ramantic (especially with British Accent) dumping dialogue ever. If some guy told me this in real life I would be depressed for at least weeks.

Alistair Dumping Dialogue....

1) I've thought of nothing else...(since Landsmeet)
2) I love you. More than I ever thought possible, but...I have to face what this means....
3) I could see it becoming very hard to tear myself away from you. Impossible even.
4) If this is what it must be....
5) You think it wasn't hard for me....It's not.
6) I love you. I'll always love you. But there are things that are more important than what I want. I wish it were otherwise.
7) We have a job to do. So please lets focus on that. Thinking about you is just too painful and too tempting.

Simutaneously Alistair is telling us how much he loves us, how much we tempt him, that he's dumping us to save the world.

Damn....that Blight.

Oh. My. God.
Reading that only made me fall DEEPER in love with Alistair!
If that really happened to me... jeez... I seriously don't know what I'd do!
I'd probably beg and cry on my knees, threatening to kill myself if he won't have me.
Lol, sorry for the drama. I'm such a hopeless romantic drama queen. Sigh.

He did dump my Elf Mage (thank God for reloads), but I did have to forgive him. He actually sounded like he was in pain. (Good job, Valentine.)

Course, I kept Zev around because he sounded so lost at the end, too. Now my Elf Mage Chancellor has a pet assassin. ;)

I was really quite.. disheartened by my ending with Alistair.

I started playing this game because my nephew (who's only 12, I was quite supprised he was even playing such a game.. ¬_¬) showed me his ending. He was a male human noble who romanced with Leliana. He picked the ending of him sacrifising himself to kill the Archdemon.. and the emotion shown on Lelianas face, combined with the insinuation of her commiting suicide to be with her love, was heart breaking. And I really wanted to play after that.

Anyway, so, I made a female human noble rogue/archer. I didn't really have any focus on romancing anyone, but then Alistair was actually making me giggle in real life so..

I hardened him, I persuaded him to be King and myself Queen, but I knew what ending I wanted. I wanted to sacrifice myself, and I followed through with that intention..

I was then shown at my funeral, he basically said,

'She was a brave woman. I thought we were going to be together forever..(cringe, but the only sweet thing he said.). Oh well, I'll build a statue of her and move on. Toodles, have fun in the after life!'

I was quite disappointed by that.. >_>

You will get a much more tragic ending when  Alistair gives his life for you....

Alistair...
You khow I feel about you
I won't let you give your life when I can do something about it

Special note: make sure you pick one of two options to get that last kiss.
Choose..."but this is crazy" and you get him running towards you saying something like "this is the best thing I could do" (quick kiss) then go slay dragon.
Or choose...."I'll remember you"
This is by far the most ramantic and tragic of all endings.  Even though I would personally say, "But this crazy" - this happens to be one of the longest and sweetest kissing scenes between pc and Alistair.

Then off too the prologue where you honor the grey wardens and Alistair gets a statue. What's even sadder you talk to everyone and they won't lef you come with them. Except Zevran, if you're still in the plus with him. I have not romanced Lelianna  as a female. Therefore, I do not know if she will let you come or if she will stay with you.

The only other way it can be more tragic is if you get dumped by Alistair and then he sacrifises his life to save his love for you because he really doesn't want to be king and he doesn't want a queen.

OMG! I'd LOVE to see that long kissing scene!!! There's no way I'm sacrificing my Alistair, so I won't see it anytime soon, so if anyone knows if there's one on youtube or anything, can you please PLEASE upload a link? I really wany to see it, even though it's probably gonna shatter my heart and reduce me to tears,

He won't be on your team fighting beside you. He definitely has a role in ME2...the devs just won't say what it might be.

The romance could be anything from emails(you can do that on the new ship) to interacting with him when your at the ciatdel(or wherever)...no one is really sure. I do know that they have a picture of Liara in a green dress in OXM magazine with Shepard. I believe she was supposed to be his love interest in the photo so it would be safe to say that at some point you also get to interact with Kaidan as well...I just hope it's an on-going thing and not just a one time thing.

I'm holding out hope since the developers said that they want people to carry their ME1 romances all the way through ME3(if that's what they want to do).

So um... I guess I'm not the only gal here who got super excited when she succeeded in getting putting Alistair on the throne and naming PC queen? LOL

I was so certain I had messed something up along the way, this is my 2nd playthrough and I nerdraged the first playthough when my ending was bugged and I didn't get my desired script. This time I didn't know if I had "hardened" him correctly or not (that still makes me giggle too, LOL) and I totally skipped the part where you discuss things with Anora before the Alienage quests so I hadn't sided either way (didn't realize it had to be done before, when I went to talk to her afterward, there wasn't any dialogue choices to do so). I got a little worried when I realized that she not only went against us at the Landsmeet but I had to fight my way through Loghain and all his guards, too. Was actually nervous when it came time to persuade them to give Al the throne AND have me rule along side, this current PC is a rogue with maxed coercion and quite a bit of cunning but... that's a big step! Relieved when it swung in my favor and I later got the cutscene with Al talking about becoming king and engaged on the same day and he was only worried about us two producing an heir.

I stopped the game before I got back to Redcliffe and have to have the talk with Morrigan. I'll go through with the ritual, only because now that I worked myself up over getting to be queen, I don't want either of us to die. I do really hate the Morrigan ritual though, I hate the character in general.

Anyway, enough rambling. It's late and I was excited and for some reason felt the urge to share with others who no doubt went through the same LOL.
