I think of Dune with Chani Mua'deeb when the ending roles around for the non-human/mage PC's and Alistair. Nothing says Paul treated her badly just because he was forced to marry Princess Irulani. He actually treated the princess worse.

As for the citadel moments I'm wondering if he'll be stationed there or have his own ship. He and Ash(for those who saved her instead) are supposed to high ranking Alliance Officials now.

I'm a little concerned over the last video that I saw too about the Normandy. They had a little demo where they had Shepard talk to Joker and the guy showing the demo said that Joker had went through some changes(dealing with his legs) and that all the characters had gone through some changes...I just hope Kaidan isn't changed too much. I can see him being harder and tougher being in a higher rank but I hope they didn't drop the sweeter side of him.

Bioware isn't saying but the guy doing the interview said something about Jokers legs and the Bioware rep said he couldn't give away any of the plot but he started talking about how the characters had changed somewhat. There are two parts. Most of it is about the Normandy but there is the small part with Joker.

There is another video somewhere of him walking with Shep. People have speculated that he has no braces on although He could be wearing them under his uniform if they are some kind of special braces.

The achievement guide gives this as an achievement...Very Elusive...Return to active duty. So I'm guessing that Shepard is placed back with the Alliance. I guess it could be an optional Achievement though.

It may be Kaidan's promotion that won't allow him to be recruited. If he's too high up he will probably have too much responsibility to be able to just lay it down and join Shepard. It might be nice if after two years he's higher in rank than Shep though. He was supposed to have so many commendations and be excellent at his job...at 32 you would have thought his rank would have been higher in the first place. Maybe that's just my thinking.

I totally agree. That was the same thing  I thought but didn't know if anyone had read that book recently as it is a little dated. I think it said something to the effect that their marriage would be in name only (he wasn't planning on bedding her).

Definately hoping for more character interaction  like we got in DAO. By the way DAO made be Role Playing Game of he year.

The chick with the tattoos is Subject Zero and yeah she's a little on the scary side. There is supposed to a lot more romance options in ME2 than there was in ME. Personally, I have no intention of taking any of them. I'm sticking with Kaidan even if I can't interact with him...there is a possibility that the other love interests if they are on your squad are going to be killed in the end anyway.

Some of the stuff on the forum is directly from the developers so it's accurate. Some of it's from previews...some of it just speculation. They've even got a video(in German) posted on there from the opening of the game.

Someone just said recently that you get a cameo with Kaidan/Ash/Liara and that if you keep them as your love interest that you can exchange e-mails with them throughout the game. I don't know how accurate that is.

Some of us were speculating that the love interest may play a bigger role than that in helping to gather intel for Shepard since that is going to be part of making your mission successful. There is good reason to suspect that since Liara will be working for the Shadow Broker and Ash/Kaidan are high ranking officials in the Alliance(with more than likely a lot of access to classified information). Just speculation of course.

The developers did say that the ME1 love interests were excluded from the squad in ME2 because they wanted to keep them from being killed (I think they said that any and all of the ME2 squad members can die in this one). Evidently they needed to keep them from dying because they play some sort of role in ME3 that is important to the over all story.

Oh, I really hope ME2 will have more interactions!!! This is what is
driving me to keep replaying the game over and over again. There should
be at least as much interactions as in Dragon Age, or possibly more. I
could always have more...

I'm all for more interaction and dialog but I don't want crappy endings that make me keep scrambling to make the right choices just so I can try and get a good ending. Once again...thats why I'm sticking with Kaidan...he can't die and I'll see him in ME3.

Haven't check out that site yet....just been watching some of the trailers on youtube.  The only romance it looks like the only romance options are all females or some really ugly  male aliens!?! Because that 's what I see that makes up the squad.

Yes, many people have read that book, even recently. All of them, in fact (except for the so-called endings written by the son). Great writing, Mr. Herbert. Some of the writing in this story reminds me a bit vaguely of Dune and I wondered if there weren't a writer or two who had read the series.

Have to agree with Kaidan's softer side...just hardened him to play a bad A..... I like joker's humor and sarcasm.  I hope we have more dialogue options with him. Or at least snappier comebacks.

I so agree.  Very disappointed.  Loved his intensity, and of course the Carth voice.

If it's any consolation, people have mentioned that the reason Kaiden/Ashley won't be available in ME2 is because they are a planned to be a critical element in the last game, and need to be protected from the possibility of death in this one.  So maybe this is a case where a little delayed satisfaction will pay off in an even better end game story?

Or maybe it's a cruel test of your love.  Hahaha, it would be hilarious if you get screwed in the third game if you cheat on Kaiden in the second one. 

That would really suck.  Not much to worry...I haven't seen any romanceable guys in ME2.

But Han Solo was so adorable after he was thawed out.  He is one of my favorite scoundrels.  If Joker wouldn't crumble when you hugged him, he would make a great romanceable Scoundrel.

So I am now on my umptenth game in DAO. I've done somethings differently besides the ending.



I let Eamon's son die and managed to slink away with only a negative 6 approval from Alistair. I finally found the missing daughter of Red Cliffe's black smith. And so far I decided to kill the Elves and let the warewolves win. That didn't feel so good though. I felt like I was committing genocide.



However, my random thought was of Duncan.



Has anyone noticed that Duncan resembles Eric Banna?

I have a feeling that if Joker were romanceable, my Shepard's devotion to Kaidan would finally be tested.  None of the new party members appeal to me, personally, if the descriptions of their "questionable moral fiber" are correct.  I tend to play paladin type characters, and I enjoy romancing "good" guys like Kaidan (or Alistair!!!), but, but...it's Seth Green.  And he's all sarcastic and funny, and an underdog.  Yep, that will be tough.

Well, only his legs were fragile.  The rest of him was normal.

I received a disapproval rating any way I chose dialog played it after I asked him that.



Any thoughts?

If he's not hardened, Alistair can't handle permanence since he'll choose duty over love.  If he's hardened, he'll be more selfish.

LOL!!! That's what she said!  (sorry, couldn't help myself) 

But no he's not *ahem* hardened...tee hee!  So basically it will be difficult for me to get love out of him now that he is not...er hardened?  Should I just say...forget it all and go with Zev?  LOL?

Or do I stick it out with Alistair?
