Doyou love Alistair enough to let him sleep with Morrigan.  I'd gotten so damn attached that I seriously had to close my eyes to hit the button. Isn't that nuts? 

As far as the people who dislike him becuase he's a bit of a pansy...I get it...kind of.  Everyone likes different
kinds of men.  It doesn't make sense in the game for him to take total control...so yeah he's going to be a little weak.  

Sense of humor is what gets me every single time.  Yeah, he's a little sappysometimes about Duncan..but hell, he had a pretty horrible upbringingand Duncan actually valued him.  It was a father figure thing...mostguys will get a little sappy about their dads...especially if they die in a violent way. 

Most of the time though...he laughs everything off, even the really rough stuff. 

God...I actually cried the first time I went through the market district and talked to him. Being the giant sap I am I chose, "I love you"  and the "And I loveyou.  Always." Thing nailed me...nicely done BioWare.  

Having to watch with Morrigan made my stomach hurt...yeah...that whole virginity before your character thing makes that a little hard towatch. 

I could go on forever about the romance stuff with Alistair.  Probably will.  I'm glad this thread is here for me to
obsess a little bit...and until the expansion is in my hands andI can't have him in my party, I'm going to delude myself into thinking I can...so our romance can go on and on and on. lol

I'm usually a runner when a guy comes across at all 'weak'. But you know, for all that Alistair is sappy at times, I never see him as weak. He's got just enough manliness underneath to pull it off, IMO. It's also the sense of humor. I absolutely love his sense of humor. I read the other day that he was based on Xander from Buffy the Vampire Slayer (his dialogue is SOOOOOOO Xander-style) and Mal from Firefly--considering those are in my top three favorite shows of all time, suddenly it all makes sense.

I REALLY didn't like the scene with Morrigan. It bothered me that it bothered me, too, which just made it even worse. I didn't expect to be affected, but then, I didn't expect to be forced to watch it, either.

But yeah, he's nailed it (no pun intended) so many times for me. Like you say here, I could go on forever. In fact, I logged in on the internet for the first time today just so I could talk to someone about all this

YES. THIS. This is definitely where you can start to see that he will be a great King.

I was FLOORED by the passion of his speech here. I mean, Alistair, giving and impassioned last speech to the army to inspire them was enough--and then building it around my character, I was completely wowed, and just so humbled and touched. SOOOO unexpected, and not sappy at all. It was really kind of epic.

With Leliana there is a second dialog for a new try where you go to her and suggest it yourself.

Is there someting like this with Al to? Or will it simple be the same old "joyn me in my tent" dialog.



Im trying this with my new female noble how will marry him and be queen in the end. So far it has not worked, but i havent passed the landsmeet yet. But I dont know if I can trust my game anymore...



Jules, have you only the original game or have you patched it up?

I'm not on PC. I'm on xbox 360. I hope that doesn't mean I've been posting in the completely wrong place. >.< In my game, he's standing right next to me on the dias after I talk to the queen.

I didn't even know that he WOULD ask you first, until the other day when I came across the info online. I tried in the second game to hold out for a while just to see if he might ask first, but I eventually got impatient, figured he was never going to make the first move and asked him first. I plan on waiting for that next time, if I do play again.

O_O He'll make the first move. I just started a new game...how do you get that to happen? Seriously.

You need to get him up to "love". Think it happens at 90 but you need to have 91 to get him to ask.
You get him to 91, leave camp and get back again. There it is... Its worth it I think.
And you can have him there before healing Eamon.

Lol, wow, I guess I jumped the gun a little bit. I thought I was at 90 when I made the move....anyone know how you can see those things on the xbox? I can't mouse over the bar to see exactly what it is.



Speaking of which...does anyone else get irritated when you're in the 80-90 area and he's like, "Your whim is my desire...." or whatever lameo thing he says when you address him? I had to hustle and get past that fast.

alot more then "Something you need my dear", that i changes to when he goes over aproval 91.

Hate that frase, sounds like we are a old married couple...

My big issue now is to keep his aproval at 90 as long as possible. Love but no sex questions.
If I just can hold him there until right before the landsmeet so that I can test my big experiment without need to play through the hole game again.

If you'd like, I would probably be able to answer your question, especially if it gets messed up by doing something he approves of while adventuring with him.  Let me know!

I know of two definite ways to have him at 100 love with never sleeping with him, and I'm fairly sure about a third.  And I recommend trying this at least once just for one of the  best lines in the game.

A but that part I already knew. My question is if there is a second dialogsoption with him, like the one you is able to have with Leliana, if you dont whant to make love to him whe he asks you. I already know it is possible to pick "You are gonig to by king" when he ask why, and that he agreas with you that you dont know what will happen between you then. I asks if you want to end it now and if you say no, he will still love you, even though he drops -9. Easy fixed,

Ah, sorry, I'm a Zevran fangirl in an Alistair love thread. I only turned on the love option just before the landsmeet trying to unlock a completely different dialog option. I'd suggest saving your game, giving him gifts, and testing it.

When he actually falls in love? Or offers a massage? To get him to fall in love, you just have to wait until after Eamon calls the landsmeet and fight Taliesin. To get the massage, you have to get him to 71 Adore.  

Edit: To get the proposal, it takes a few more steps.

No, the ritual are a must if you want both of you to live... I hated it, but i hated even more when Al sacrifice himself regarding what you tell him. And this even if you have broken up. I think i tried it abouter ten times, before i gave up. The "I thought you were loyal to your new queen"(me) and "I know that you will forgive me for that"(him) hurt like a thousend daggers in my heart, I cryed big sobby tears, I kid you not.
