On my current playthrough  I did not put a hardened Alistair on the throne and I haven't been able to get any conversation with him after Landsmeet. Nothing. Nada.  Not a peep.  Did I hit a bug or glitch?  I would really like to be able to talk to him about it.  Arrrgh, frustrating.

You problably won't unless you saved up some dialogue questions.  After Landsmeet the game runs by pretty fast.  Dialogue will be driven by upcoming battle, ritual with Morrigan, etc.  Infact, Alistair is talks like a complete idiot when he is in the Arl of Dernerim's estate and the Redcliffe castle.

Do yourself a favor during that time. Before you do final battle, leave castle and go back to camp. At least get one more kiss or let's go to bed in with Alistair. It's also a good time to wrap up any conversations with them and misc other things.  

I've been finding it's better to hold onto some of the dialogue to use for moments such as these.

I did just that. Went back to camp and invited Al into my bed and he came willingly enough.  Now we are in the middle of the battle. Hopefully he will have something to say after we get back.

I ate up my conversations pretty quick in my first playthrough and then was left wanting more.  I understand that there is only so much conversation they can put in a game- but I want more. I want to interact with my party members as much as I want to fight the darkspawn.  Credit to the writers and the voice actors for that.

I created a new character, fem elf mage, and this time I am not talking so much to Alistair. Partly to keep from starting a romance with him, trying to wait for Zevran.

Good luck with that. I think mages get an automatic start to the romance with Al. I know my Cousland had to have an extra line or three to let him know she was interested.



Mages he seems to go almost Cullen over.

You know, I assume that's the case, but they never really say as far as I could tell. I'm guessing the being called away by the Wardens has to do with the expansion pack, though.

Absolutely, I didn't work my a** off to put  evil Anora in the tower and Alistair on the throne for him just to get called off when I am in charge of the Ferelden Grey Wardens.  Somebody mentioned that maybe he was called away to answer for reports of the appearance of a demon baby and no Grey Warden death at the defeat of the archdemon.

I got the same card and I had Anora stripped of her title and thrown in the tower.  It is frustrating.  There seem to be several little bugs in the endings, which alone wouldn't be that bad, but all together-irritating.

During the first time I saw the cutscene where Cailan gets killed, the emotion in Duncan over it, my mind immediately went to slash between them. Same kind of relationship, really; mentor and light-hearted.

I mean, it's one frickin' title card. Shouldn't be THAT hard to fix. I know there's a lot of code involved in the game, but that seems like a pretty big mistake, and one they'd want to fix.

I'm starting a new character, city elf, my last one got dumped and i was very angry (1st playthrough, sadly i thought my PC and AL were in it for the long run) so all i have to do it have him hardened so he can keep PC as mistress? I havent tried an ending yet with just Anora ruling. I have an queen noble with alistair, I'm kinda holding off till the new EP to see how your character continues, wanna see alistair as king.....

Make sure your Coercion is maxed too.

I chose the ending where Anora rules and Al and I stay together (I was a human mage). I wish there had been more conversation involving what would happen when he becomes king before it comes down to actually making a decision, because you don't really get an inkling that it can turn out so badly for you until the moment it does, you know? I was also torn up by the entire ritual with Morrigan, but was willing to do it to spare us both so we could spend the rest of our years together.



I know a lot of people object to putting Anora on the throne, but when you have an unhardened Al, it seems to make sense. He doesn't want to be king, and you sure don't want him to be king, because you love him and want to be with him (and he loves you too, of course). In addition, Anora seems to be a pretty good queen. Even though I had Al kill Loghain (my BF and I laughed so hard when he killed Loghain and sprayed Anora with his blood... holy crap, talk about a kick in the face), she accepted that her father had changed for the worse and chose to preserve the memory of the good things he did for Ferelden. She also had the experience, and the respect of the other countries. Not saying that Al wouldn't be a good king, but I like that ending better. I thought about making a human noble, but I'm just too bored with any class that is not mage. LoL Plus I kind of think that is the easy way out. I like having to fight for it a bit.



But lord, does this game make me want to write fanfiction again. I am totally resisting the urge.

Having only played elves so far, I detest Anora as queen, actually. She does nothing to help the Alienage elves and eventually makes like harder for them. Alistair for king all the way!

Why not do a character for each ending n saving them that way when the new game comes out you can choose which ending you want for the new game (if thats gonna work that way lol)... Thats what I'm doing... I've already got an ending where Alistair n I are both alive at the end, now I'm doing one where I'm not sure how I'm gonna end it but I know Alistairs gonna be King n he will be doing the killing blow with Loghain lol... Next 1 I'll probably play the unhardened Alistair cause I've yet done a game playing a female with Aistair not hardened... There are so many endings to choose from thats why I'm doing 1 for each ending that way when the new game comes out I get to choose or play with each of my endings... So many possibilities with these games, I love it.

On a side note; Only problem I'm having is I can't seem to get a romance going with Zevran, by the time I do get him my characters already so into Alistair that I don't have the urge to go after Zev lmao.


I end up doing my romances with Alistair awfully quick in the game but the upside to that is anytime you go to camp after the first initial love scene you can do Alistair anytime you want n be sure to take him with you alone once in a while when exploring from place to place, it's kind of cute when it's just the two of you n you ask him for a kiss lol

- Not anywhere at Redcliffe Castle. Not even in the bedrooms with door closed.
- Not at Lake Calenhad inn

Dont think there are any.. but maybe someone else will find it... I sure cant.
