Cue Horizon. Cue Kaidan's cameo. He tells my character off and I ... was blown away by his intensity. He yelled because he cared. I already felt like my Shepard was a dick because the game wasn't allowing me to try to find him until that point and my character really was in the wrong (in his eyes) because of my Shepard 1) oh, hai, nice to see you and 2) I'm working for the bad guys now. When I read his apology email afterwards, I immediately knew that HE WAS IT. I didn't even bother to romance any of the new characters. (Garrus is really more of a best friend than lover for my Shepard.) I can't wait for ME3 to see how this all wraps up. There has to be some serious make-up sex coming then.
Oh this Gilsa, THIS. I love the Kaidan/FemShep romance and totally get the reason for his anger. My Shep was broken too after Horizont but instead to think 'what a jerk' she tried to understand him, his anger, his fears and frustration in this moment became clear to her. He had lived years in the believe that his one true love was dead, weeped for her, stood on her grave...and then BAM she is there again, in full flesh and working for the organization he direly had fought against with her before.
It's like Alistair landmeet betrayal 2.0, pretty hard stuff to swallow. And then his email, I d'aaawed xD showing me how much he still cared for my Shep. Aside the fact that the romances in ME2 were crappy anyway (the priiiize) it wasn't really hard for her to stay faithful to such a man. Our waiting is better paying off with said make up sex then 8D
On topic: DLC, which DLC? *ignores the crap that is DS chronicles*
