She's the only character from Redemption that I actually found amusing. (I love Felicia Day as flustered, anxious nerdy girl Codex - not as a self-insert Mary Sue) I believe Nyree deserves to be a part of the actual games. As a mercenary she has a good excuse to be picked up by DA3's protagonist. And considering how popular Isabela is, it can easily be said that more women of color would be more than welcome in the series.

Yup, she volunteers to walk the elf guy back to his camp, too.

She's a mercenary but seems to be a decent one. And yeah, wouldn't mind seeing her some more.

Hold on there. Now, she definitely stepped up and defended Josmael from Cairn, but I've watched that final episode several times now and she did not turn down payment for her services.

Nyree is totally evil, guys. She was perfectly fine with helping the Saarebas unleash a demon army on Kirkwall up until the point he abandoned her in the cave. Maker know how many thousands he would have killed had he succeeded. And she's a true Reaver, not just a warrior who learned to mimic their abilities; one of the side-effects of drinking dragon blood is an increased desire to kill, as noted by the codex on Dragon Cults.

Sure, she had a soft spot for Josmael, but that was her only redeeming feature. And based on that last episode, I sort of wonder if she had ulterior motives, if you get my drift.

I'm not disputing that she was pretty funny and she kicked copious amounts of ass. I'm just making an observation about her character alignment.

I fully support this; Nyree was fantastic. I'd be excited to see her return in a future project.

I agree, I think she was marvellous, and very entertaining.

And though I don't think she's 'evil', I don't think it matters either way. Morrigan (and Velanna) also fit the 'evil' category, but they were also well-fleshed out and interesting characters, despite my personal dislike of Velanna.

And she wasn't evil... in any way... unless you consider a capitalistic person of dubious loyalties (mercenary) to be evil...

Nyree was the best character in Redemption, IMO. I would love for her to reappear in the future. DA3 seems the most likely candidate, since she says she's returning to Nevarra so I don't see her appearing in any DA2 content. Besides, that would make the world a bit *too* small.

I support her return only if we get to see her make that "reaver face" when she uses a reaver ability. Creepy looking, but cool at the same time.

Also, she needs to laugh when getting slapped around, as Nyree seems to like it rough (and it powers her reaver abilties).

I must say that Nyree was definitely the best character in terms of both writing and performance. I would love to see her in some way in the future.

Agree, I thought she was a great character . . . admittedly when I could understand what she was saying. And, whether she's purely evil or not, I agree that as a mercenary she still could plausibly get recruited by a good-aligned PC. How fun would the discussions be?

Incidentally, I did also like Cairn, tho, RIP. Just love those Chantry boys.

I think that's an actual ability that Reavers had in Origins which didn't survive the transition to DA2 — Frightening Appearance.

YES!  Nyree was awesome, definitely my favorite character in the series.  Having her as a companion would be a really cool way to link up DA3 with Redemption.  Failing that, a cameo would be pretty great as well.
