What is the problem of having the same level of roleplay of ME1 again, at least in dialog options?
These are the only things I want back, nothing more. To not make our actions and choices irrelevant in the other games.

You must be joking.

ME1 had the most jarring roleplaying I've ever seen.

The characters didn't care and the dialogues were often three options with the same damn outcome and answer for all of them.

Judging by the script, ME3 is doing it infinitely better than ME1. Both when it comes to recognize Shepard's backgrounds and the past actions with the characters.

THAT is a good roleplaying.

Actually this is true. If you go through and play a paragon shepard and then play renegade...some responses are EXACTLY the same. It's almost like "well..why the hell does it matter what I choose then?"

ME2 actually had more diversity in the lines - maybe not roleplaying (even though I fail to understand what most people mean by "role playing game" there are so many opinions on the matter).

In Lotsb Shepard WANTs to help Liara. Why would your Shepard help Liara if (s)he hated her.

Thats why you have forced friendship in the dlc cause you are helping a friend. LOTSB is completely optional.

If you canonicaly didn't do lotsb Liara still beats the SB without your help. The buddy buddy act never happens.

Oh? Then "Help Liara gain more plot importance" should have been the name of this DLC. Because silly me hoped that the actual plot will be "Shepard got intel about Shadow Broker and Liara wants revenge. Go after Shadow Broker, get his base and use it as you wish - handle it to Cerberus, Alliance, Council, or make on of your crew or Liara a new Shadow Broker".

'sigh' I hope two occasions was enough - now I won't approach to DLC with "Of The" in the title even with 10 feet pole.

Not comparable. Liara may have done things disagreeably, but unlike TIM, she isn't ever outright antagonistic.

Indeed, but the fact that you gave me this answer just shows how much disappointed you would be if that happens. Which of course, won't.

But as we said many times, this is a issue which bioware can solve and please everyone, just make dialog lines neutral, no "LIARA'S IN THERE!" instead of something like "WE'RE TOO LATE!" or "WE NEED TO HURRY!". All these little things can make a lot of difference.

"Any friend of yours is a friend of mine, what's our next step?" - "Let's take down the Shadow Broker then. Where do we begin?"

"Liara! Anything I should know?"  -  "I guess you know something I don't."

"It was good talking to you Liara, let me know if you need anything." - "I better get going, let me know when you find anything useful."

" - Maybe I can turn this operation into something better!
 - Thanks Liara! Let me know when you find anything"   -  "Good luck."

" - I'm going to end you, Vasir!
  - It's okay Liara! We'll handle it, the usual way!"   - "Let me handle it." Or add a choice here to use  "Back off Liara! She's mine!"

Some examples of more neutral lines on the answers and auto dialog.

I surprised myself and thoroughly enjoyed the GMagnum/Private Window romance. Good writing even if it did seem ridiculous at first. I especially enjoyed the explanation for how blunts hardwired into the Geth units could slow down the Geth Collective's processes and sedate them enough to be brought under the control of Admiral Xen.

Liara Haters here....not worth discussing anymore, this entire issue of having assholish lines to say is utterly nonsense. Now if you will excuse me i will enjoy the central importance in the plot of my blue lady as information broker and deepest romance of the game. You can stay here and keep blabbing your hate. Haters gonna hate.

Unless

1. Shep didn't want to be brought back to life.
2. Shepard's hatred of Cerberus (and the distinct possibility s/he could be mind-controlled) precluded such feelings.

It's perfectly possible to be both grateful to be alive and pissed at Liara. Don't force your interpretation.

Point 1: Really??? C'mon
Point 2: You do not know that just wild speculation, though Miranda said that TIM explicitly forbidden to put any control device on Shepard not to risk an alteration of the original one

Actually, my shep would resent Liara for handing her to Cerberus, in ME1 Cerberus was worse than the reapers... like come on, atleast the reapers weren't racist    they killed everyone equally!   And yeah, sure Shep's alive because of Liara, but it doesn't mean I need to be forced to be grateful, the only satisfaction I want Liara to have is knowing that Shepard forgave her... but doesn't want to be f***ing friends anymore.  Like come on, I have the choice to stab someone in the back with a glowing stick and I'm able to kick people out of windows but I can't tell Liara "I hate you".   That's not even roleplaying anymore, that's just "Here's a game without any player choices... enjoy!"

And I'm all for having Liara with a happy ending, but not everyone is Liara fans, some people just don't like her, and everyone should get a choice in what they want to do and what they hate, I'm just saying the game is about choices. I'm just happy if everyone gets to make their own, I don't want anyone to be forced into something they DON'T want. I for one want to drag Major Alenko into the nearest bedroom and discuss.. biotics... but that doesn't mean I want EVERYONE WHO PLAYS THE GAME to be forced into the same situation.

There is something called the limit of Roleplaying you can do. Especially in story driven rpgs.

The writers have to limit certain choices for the sake of the story.

Unless you want smt like Kotor where your choices are nulled and are not canon.

Or Da2 where they are retonned. You can kill Leliana and send Anders to the Templar and they still come in Da2 .I rather not have choice than have them retonned.

Geralt can't kill the Ambassador of Nilfguard after he is knocked out conscious. Cause it goes against his character.

Adam Jensen can't kill Megan cause she needs to life and see her work completed.

Even in Skyrim for all its freedom you have to kill Parthanax to advance the blade mission.

I am a Joker-hater I hate him with every fibre of my being.

He is even worse than Liara. Liara is the reason I am alive. Joker is the reason I am dead.

But I know apparently Joker is one of Shepards best buds REGARDLESS of my liking. You can't even say anything bad to him. You can't even confront him about the SR1 incident.

I as his hater, understand he is important to the plot and can't be mistreated. I'll suck it up and will play Me3 regardless and wont let this hamper my enjoyment. Or I am in for more resentment.

I didn't want Shepard saying
"I an tired of my BEST FRIENDS(the VS) not beliving me" this is after Horizon.

This is Shepards story and he to has a personality. He considers Joker, Anderson, Liara and the VS as friends. Then who am I to judge.

Suck it up haters and deal with it!
I did, unless you want the bitter resentment of unexpected and forced friendship when playing me3.

No, for one thing I don't mean anything like that happened with Liara, I was putting it as a example for what could happen in the next game but I'd like if everyone had the choice of not doing it.  That is what I'm saying, I just want the freedom to make my own choices, and I don't want others to be forced into those decisions.
