Recreating the Klendagon Cannon would be an enormous waste of eezo for a one shot, one reaper weapon.

Then again, it's probably not using eezo in that manner.

Much like how the eezo nodes in biotic people don't deplete.

That's not what I meant, allow me to clarify.  The weapon broke only getting off one shot that we know of, and killing only one reaper that we know of.  The intention was not likely to build a one shot gun, but a weapon that could defeat a Reaper that just ended up being of less use than intended.

The amount of eezo used to make a gun propel a slug that would gouge a planet a few systems away after mauling a reaper is, in my mind, a very large amount of eezo.

Well, then we can kill other Reapers and use their eezo cores to power the weapon.

In fact, I'd like a plan like that.

Not a bad idea, but these cannons better not miss or break.

Also, with a weapon like that, you could shoot Mass Relays from afar, creating the same super nova that could wipe out a system. A whole Reaper fleet can be taken out from afar if an asteroid could cause the same effect. Depending of the systems you're willing to sacrifice.

This is IMO pretty good idea (if such gun would be built). Saving the civilisation of system is kind of moot point, since Reapers would be using inhabitants of systems to create husks for reaping the Earth and throwing them against other defences anyway.

I haven't seen the leaked script and I don't have any intention to read it but I just have feeling we won't be sacrifising entire systems in ME3. It's still interesting, though horrifying thought.

Wow, there is a lot of dumb in this thread. Powerful dumb. I'm thinking of someone in particular. He can crawl up my ass and die if he realizes who I mean. Or even if he doesn't. Loneliness....

...back on topic, however, obviously what we need to do is miniaturize the Klendagon Canon technology so it can fit into an omni tool, give Shepard a jetpack, and let him send the Reaper fleet packing via some well-timed Space Karate, y'know? Anything less would just be retarded.

You mean Mass Relay. Shooting a star would not cause a supernova.

I dunno why I said that but I meant if the Cannon shot a star I thought the eezo would cause it to go 'nova. I must have misread it.

The cannon uses eezo, but the projectile itself does not have element zero in it. Nor would any one projective have enough eezo to cause a supernova, I believe.

Maybe we can trick the Reapers into lining up in a straight line to kill them all.

But seriously, reverse engineering that cannon seems like a good idea.  Clearly it was overpowered given what it did to Klendagon so maybe it can be altered to be more efficient and shoot multiple times.

That process would take a very long time, though.

You don't need to reverse engineer anything. The tech exists, it's just that no-one has felt the need to build a mass accelerator of that power and size.

In that case let's hope TIM simply failed to mention that they're building the cannon when he sent Shep off to the dead Reaper.

Also, I wonder if that orbital mirror the batarians are building that the Alliance fears can be used as a WMD would work against a Reaper if it is in fact a weapon.

I see mentions of destroying Mass Relays, not a good idea. Think of which species have the ability to travel through dark space sans relay and then look who will have the longevity and technology to travel system to system and finish the job. Hint, it won't be the galactic alliance that Shepard is building.
