When did Ashley become a Latina?

I actually like Michele Rodrigez, so I wouldn't mind if she played Ashley, at least there's some resemblance visually and with attitude. I have a feeling that Kaidan is either not going to show up at all, or will be horribly miscast and relegated to Jenkins type role, of genesis anything to go by.

nyah, Avatar was still a bad movie despite Sigourtney Weaver and Michele Rodrigez, but I brought it up as an example of a popular movie where lead character ends up with a hot blue alien girl.
Sam Worthington was in a movie and didn't end up dressed like a gladiator killing mooks/monsters. Avatar was a monumental success.

God no. I like Kaidan and Kaidan needs to get casted perfectly. I have no one in mind who looks close like him ...

Lets hope it's just bad lightning / unfinished face. In her concept art Ashley still looks old Ashley.
Her hispanic heritage must not be forgotten!

They made her Latina so Michelle Rodriguez can play her in the ME movie. Either way I approve, not to mention it merely makes sense to have different ethnic groups in the future, in space.
Michelle Rodriguez does NOT look like Ashley.

Not to rain on the Michelle Rodriguez parade, but how about Simone Kessel (Lt. Alicia Washington) from Terra Nova?
I would much prefer her over... rodriguez.
Still say Erica Cerra could be her twin...

Okay, changed my mind - I support her too
I just thought she doesn't fit to Ash because of this picture:

She looks a bit arrogant - and arrogance doesn't fit to Ashley. The picture you posted shows Erica being really close to Ashley's casual appearance. She even got her lips, eyes and brows, just her nose is not 100% accurate.

I agree with all those who don't want Rodriguez as Ashley. It doesn't fit for me. And Ashley won't appear in the movie, since the movie isn't about mass effect 1, but another story with Shepard.
The movie will be Slumdog Millionaire, except featuring Shepard & small gang, taking place in a seedy city in US-Canada Fusionland, and in place of winning a lottery Shepard gets hand-picked for Alliance enlistment.

As far as I heard the movie tells the same story of ME but more or less altered.
And even if they do an entirely different story, it's not said Ashley & co won't appear.

It's been confirmed it will be another story. That doesn't mean Ash or any other character won't appear in it but I'd rather they didn't. The probability of actors spoiling characters is just too big for me. I'd rather they did a completelly new squad with characters that I might begin to like than they f*cking up the characters I already love. Like Jack, it's either Natalie Portman portraying her or nothing in my opinion. I could see Yvonne as Miranda and maybe Jillian Murray as Liara, but as for the other characters, I really don't want bad actors screwing them.CptData wrote...

What are you getting at? What have you read here that feels racist?
As for Natalie Portman playing Jack. I've yet to see her portray a violent character or even one that's particularly angry, so I can't say. Now, ifobly Olga Kurylenko was a better actress, I think she'd be a good fit. She resembles Jack quite a bit physically, and her face is close enough in resemblance to fitthe role, but I've yet to a performance by her that would lead me to endorse her to play my favorite character.

LOL its been ages since I've seen that. but its not violent enough. When I heard she was going ot be in V for Vendetta a part of me hoped the script writers would write in some fight scenes for Evey, just so we could see what she could do. But if Jack is put into the film series at some point I'd imagine they'd get a fresh face to do it on the cheap since Jack isn't drooled over by guys who dream about Miranda or Mysterio... I mean Tali.:innocent:
