If the whole galaxy bans together to fight Reapers and win it will make them look like pieces of ****

however if a Deus Ex Machina is used it will be too convenient.

so is there a way to defeat them without pissing off the fans?

No, there is no way to defeat them without pissing off some fans.

My guess would be their own tech gets turned against them like an Omnidroid. But if brute strength alone can stop them than people will get annoyed since Sovereign took down multiple fleets and now 250 odd Reapers can't destroy a whole unified galactic fleet even though they are capible of doing so. Atleast there is no off button.

If this scenario were to happen then this planet will most likely get set alight with rage knowing all your progress and choices were for nothing and us not knowing how exactly the epic battle will go down.Image IPB

Just blow them up. Don't like it? Then they can get lost. SIMPLE.

That.

There are not that many options besides a super weapon or another indirect approach. Attacking their fleets head on is suicidal and a waste of ships if you don't have anything better to throw at them.

Anyone who watched the battle of the Citadel can realize that.

Fulful the Reapers' one wish, to be accepted into society. Every time they tried to make first contact, they were rejected and shot at. That is why they razed planets and destroyed civilization. They just wanted to be loved :(

Defeating the Reapers should come with killing a few and learning about how they are made so we can devise, construct, and deploy a weapon that evens the playing field.

Ask them who's their leader. That will tier them apart.

always thought it would be some exploit of a "shared" vulnerability that would lead to mass extinction - they seem far too numerous to take out one by one.

...and yes the "virus" option would ****** me off.

Does anyone remember that planet blurb about the ruin found by the wealthy voles? I always thought there might be more to that.

Maybe the War of Worlds way, through some bacterias.....wait....no....that pissed me off. I don't think ME3 will end war with the Reapers. It will end the siege of Earth. And the end will be sth like Starship Troopers: "...they will fight and they will win...", which pissed me off as well.

This, probably.  Since me3 is the perfect entry point for new players, it doesn't make sense to kill off the antagonists so soon.

But didn't they say it's the end of the trilogy? But I agree it's a good stating point as the main antagonists are finally beginning their attack but new players won't get their own version of the story and instead will get a bad defult. A bit off topic but but it should be asked "will new players get the lore so quickly?"

I think that whoever created the Reapers will show up. I know, it sounds kind of corny, but I think it'd be awesome.

How should the Reapers be defeated? With the power of science and technology, of newly discovered knowledge, plus a dose of heroic determination and epic badassery.

I am optimistic!

I don't think Bioware can do anything without pissing some fans off. No matter how we beat the Reapers, some people will inevitably whine about it.
