You're lucky that our so-called "moderator" doesn't actually possess the knowledge that's required to enforce the no spoiler rule.

Oh, I'm on the internet. I'd nearly forgotten.

While I'm honoured that you find my theories so convincing as to interpret them as canon, I'm not sure if the rage is due to jealousy of my brilliant scenario-creating mind or simple ihateeverthinraaar.

WTF guys, there is only way to defeat Reapers without angering sensitive fans, Switch them off, after all like Shepard said, they are only machines so every machine has an off switch.

The reapers should be taken out intellectually, not in some cliche find super gun, gather super army, or DEM. We should engage in conversations with the reapers during the course of the campaign and systematically br down their their reasons for killing everything. In the end I would like to see the reapers kill themselves or at least lack the morale required to put up a good fight. This eliminates the whole macguffin "super thing" from the story entirely making the story better and not similar to all the mediocre stories in games today.

i know this isn't happening in ME3 but I hope to see this in other games in the future. I would love to see the day when the whole "kill these guys just because we say they're evil" storyline completely phased out of most games.

I think that whoever created the Reapers will show up. I know, it sounds kind of corny, but I think it'd be awesome.

Why would a Bioware writer show up in game? That would be silly.

No, paragon has never inherently been the "talk it out option" and renegade the "shoot everything" option. Both options will contribute to a civil conversation, one will be have a nicer connotation and one will have an aggresive connotation. Well, civil may not be the right word for renegade but it wont be the "F*** you an walk away" option.

Civil conversation- Shepards talks TIM into suecide.
Nicer Converation-Shepard shoot's TIM.
Agressive Conversation-Shepard beats the **** out of TIM.

If you find a way to neutralize element zero or lock the Reapers out of the mass relay system for good (how hilariously ironic that would be) then you have your weapon. Well, it's a start, anyway.

EDI will hack into the Reaper Collective communication frequency and Shepard will start the music(?) from this long forgotten classic and send out to all the Reapers who will go insane within 30 seconds and start killing each other.

Thus ending the Reapers' existance once and for all.

What I would like to see is some "deus ex machina" that *doesn't* do the job all by itself. The fleets, the alliances, the grand tactical battle should be used in conjunction with whatever Shepard eventually discovers/builds.

Make the solution consist of multiple parts, working together, rather than "Defend the Wheeble until the Wheeble is powered up and wins for us." I want something that makes all that work building alliances NOT feel like a waste of time. I want something that explains how the Reapers are weakened but not destroyed solely by the Wheeble, requiring the fleets to deliver the actual killing blows.

giant squiddy looking reapers are eaten by huge galactic space whales who give us a friendly wave-good-bye of the flipper before disappearing into the intergalactic void..

How about using the relays as some kind of gun? They do resemble them in some ways but I'm sure you'll need a VI in order to transmit the mass to the relay and shoot but of cource it depends of many factors.
Meh, as said it'll be impossible to please ALL fans for such an event.

1 reaper took an entire army of ships of three different species to beat.  So ya.  A "conventional" battle would be disasterous for organics and just weak storytelling from bioware if they nerf the reapers into oblivion.

Yeah, and?

Numbers - check
Power - check
Surprise Attack - check, becuz nobody believes Shepard. Though at least this time they don't get to take over the Citadel immediately. Still, the Battle of the Citadel showed that their Citadel tactic is just for efficiency. It's not like they actually need control of the Citadel to win.

I think it should be like a war, you land on earth and start blowing **** up. if you just find some way to disable them or something stupid like that, then it will feel pointless fighting in the first place.
