I started gaming when I was a little kid but didn't dabble in hardcore gaming until I was 16 when a friend introduced me to counter-strike. ever since then, the days of tetris and pong were long behind me and a new, bloody era of guns and violence did dawned.

Majority are young on here but away from this site I know a LOT of over 30 gamers, they just don't tend to hit the gaming forums as much I've found, and I dare say a few closer to your age CmndrFisher.

Oh come on, I've been playing M rated games since age 12, and I turned out fineKILL KILL KILL, as I'm sure you'd all agree. Physical maturity does not equal mental maturity. As that would be another topic entirely, I'll end the comment there.

I think that a lot of people who started playing video games when they first came out have continued to play them in some capacity as they have gotten older. It's the call of the pixels - it takes hold and doesn't let go.

So too, I've heard of older folks (folks in their 70's and 80's) who play WoW or engage in competitions on the Wii and the like.

So, no OP - you're not an anomaly. You are family.

(And to answer the question, I am of an age that can buy my own booze and I remember when Star Wars first came out.)

I will be 22 on Dec. 6 but I've been gaming since I was 3 years old. My first system being the NES, but I was more into playing DOS games. It wasn't until I got the N64 that I became interested in console gaming. When I was a little kid though my dad would play NES games with me (he was around his mid-30s at the time). Now he's 53 and lacks patience to play videogames anymore XP Although he does occasionally play some iPad games.

I'm 21 myself, just turned this November 20th.

And that PEGI rating of 18 is odd. Mine is bbfc instead. So is DA:O and DAII (18's, if you were wondering) Then again I'm from the UK and the PEGI rating must be for other European countries? But even then, other non BW games I own use the PEGI rating instead.
