Okay, okay... I'll make all the "old" ppl feel young... lol. I turned 53 last month. At least CmndrFisher won't feel so badly anymore. xD Do I hold the record? (Vinyl record that is...go ask your parents. ;-)
I never felt bad, Pordis, just kinda outta place. But thanks for your concern none the less. And Vinyl...oooo! I still slap my old wax on the turntable from time to time. Great Days!

Oh, I still got some vinyls but can't play them, the needle broke, and a little after that the time made it's work with my player and nothing else worked anymore... But as soon as I can, I'm gonna buy a wicked turntable. With a valved (tube) amplification.
A roomie of mine had an old valved Amp that was in great shape...for all the advancements in Sound Tech, that thing still had the BEST sound I ever heard in a Home Audio Amp!

My first console was the Sega Genesis. I only had two games for it, Tom and Jerry and Ah, Real Monsters. I think they were both Platformers. I didn't have the most noteworthy titles, but I liked them at the time. My older family memeber always had the cooler games. What I remember playing most as a kid though are Pokemon Red on the Gameboy Color, Mario Party, and Super Smash Brothers on the Nintendo 64. Good times.
My first Bioware game was Mass Effect 1. And I played it at age 14, ratings be damned.

I'm 19. And why is 20 such a horrid age? Is it a not a child, yet not a adult type thing?

OK, so before anyone accuses me of trolling, etc. let me say that my intention here is not what you might think. My question is, how old are you? The reason I ask is that I am probably one of the oldest gamers in here and I wonder if there are any other folks in my age range. I'm a 51 year old single father who has been gaming off and on for years. I started out on the pinball machines at an early age and kept going, playing the various platforms along the way until now, very happy spending a few hours a day on my 360 and sometimes on my PC.
I think I am perhaps an anomaly. Maybe not. Am I alone here?....just asking.
I'm 47. As a kid, I hung out in the local arcades playing the pinball and video machines. Got to the point I actually had to ask permission from the owner whether or not I could play certain video or pinball games (I got so good at them I could play for hours on a single quarter so he didn't make any cash on them). I actually ended up working for him for a couple years, repairing his machines and collecting the cash from some of the other locations he had going.
I game on a regular basis, almost completely PC. The kids have a Wii, which I play once in a long while, but mostly it's PC games for me. I don't watch much TV at all, and only the occasional movie. The wife doesn't mind my gaming habit, as it's a very minor vice in the grand scheme of things. I have no intention of setting gaming aside any time soon.
I too started out playing pinball & video games in the local pool hall. I earned quarters by fetching drinks and snacks for a couple of the house Pro's. That was until my parents found out I was hanging out in a den of iniquity. They dropped the hammer on me and I had to stop. I still snuck out there whenever I got the chance.

Been gaming since I was about 3-4. Started to really get into it when I was 5 if I remember properly, when my dad got me a PlayStation with a Spyro game.
Glorious, glorious day it was.

I dabbled in the usual pinball and space invaders when I were a littlie. I came to 'proper' gaming late, relatively speaking, Wolf 3D and Space Crusade started me off on PC gaming and its been a mad ride ever since!
NB - 'Proper' in the 'actual game with shooting things and such' and not 'proper' because its PC.
