And rightfully so, though I would say thats an understatement. DA1 I felt was a solid effort, maybe a little over rated. DA2 was an insult from Bioware to their fans.

Who cares though right Bioware? You sold your POS game for 60 bucks and made your money. Baldurs Gate, Icewind Dale, Mass Efffect, and KotOR are some of the greatest rpgs I have ever played. Therefore I know Biowares knows the difference between greatness and pure rush job garbage.

Looking forward to seeing the lock put on this thread by Biowares impartial forumn moderators.

To be fair, the topic has no thread in this forum. And if the forums were considered equal, there wouldn't be two of them in the first place.

I don't remember, but I think maybe IWD games had a Bioware logo visible on startup, due to them being built on the infinity engine. So the OP's mistake may be pretty natural.

Otherwise, no, over-hyping has little to do with the quality of the game . I'm not even sure that DA2 actually was over-hyped. It's probably just considered that because it was such a disappointment, plus the inflated early reviews.

The game is out half a year, get over it, move on, don't keep coming here if you have nothing better to add. The topic comes up in every second thread, and while I think it is ok if it comes up every now and then there is really no need to post a new 'DA2 failed, shame on Bioware' thread every week.

Hah yes bEVE got it right. I agree completely. I lost count how many times i said something like "if you don't like the thread - don't read, don't post".

OP: About this list. No surprise for me. DA2 is where it belongs.

...But on your point you brought up: No, I don't think we need this, either.  At all. Really. Especially as I don't see it has anything to do with hype.
One could always hope it dies or gets derailed by people discussing something else.

Really? I don't recall any hype for that Spider-Man game at all. Shattered Dimensions sure, but not Edge of Time.

i used to be in the solid effort camp that it was a good effort and fun to play but ultimately a swing and a miss

but this last dlc has pushed me into the this game sucks crowd. how you can in this day in age allow such buggy crap to get to the public is mind boggling to me. and for them to have still not fixed it. there are still bugs in the main story they havent fixed yet

if there is a dragon age 3 the chances of me buying it new a zero i dont care what game crippling add on the decide to package with it

Dragon Age 2 seems really good while your playing it, but then you switch to Mass Effect or Origins and you hate it again. idgi

Yes Im trolling these forumns every couple months pointing out how rediculously bad DA2 was... Im doing it in the one a million chance that it gets Biowares attention that they are associating their brand with the utter piece of garbage that DA2 is.

every game is going to have bugs. da:o had bugs, but when you have a great game that is deep and compelling bugs are easier to overlook. da2 is an below average game, but this is bioware and expectations are high. that is why so many detractors are upset. personally, i think that is a compliment. i'm not going to just cut them off after years of awesome games i hope bioware blows me away with da3.

how many games have add ons that cripple the game not many that are high end ip.

the issue isnt the bugs its them not fixing them thats  the issue have you seen what has to be done to fix the bugs in mark of the assasins you have to perform a high wire act in order to complete it without corrupting youir saves

i still cant beat it because they havent fixed the bug that happens with the game freezing at the end

forget fixing the issue i want my money back at this point
