I enjoy ME2 a lot, but I have Shepard maxed-out at Level 30, and I still have a lot of the game left to complete (Firewalker, Overlord, Arrival, plus the suicide mission).
Plus if you import a Level 30 Shepard into a new game, he still can't go above Level 30. You can go to Level 60 in ME1.
Mass Effect 2 desperately needs a Level Cap increase

No, it doesnt, its part of the game design. ME3 will take you from level 30, to level 60.
Besides, if you import and level 60 Shep into ME1, he still cant go past level 60.
