Like: Meer, Taylor, Beattie, Sachs, Barr, Keener, Brooks, Green, Sheen, Hoy, Cigliuti.
Not a fan:
-- Hillis: worst one, IMO. Very flat and lacks feeling, really made ME2 ruthless-Liara a complete joke. Must run in her "family" because Benezia fighting indoctrination was the worst VA moment in the game. Can't even pronounce asari things right like "Azure" or "Vaenia."

-- ME2 Hale: not sure about paragon femshep, but her renegade was a joke. She was way too soft and even whispered lines that required force/intimidation. Not like she can't do it, she goes wild in melee-combat, and she was great in ME1 as well. What happened here? Singlehandedly ruined Jacob for many femshep players as well.

-- Helfer: overly emotional AI, I also heard very palpable breathing in her lines too and I don't even pay attention for those kinds of things.

Need more love for Brandon Keener! What a perfect, rumbly deep voice!

Then for me it would have to be Claudia Black, she has done a lot of work for Bioware over the years, and she consistently gets it right.
Courtenay Taylor is perfect for Jack. I can't imagine her sounding any other way.
Liz Sroka with her unique accent sounds very exotic, and really brings life to Tali.
Keythe Farley gets all the inflections and pauses perfect with Thane's voice. He really gets the character to match the voice as well.
Jennifer Hale has a great husky voice that make femshep so incredibly badass.

Natalia Cigliuti and Courtenay Taylor are by far my favorite. Natalia's voice is just beautiful and alluring, and Courtenay's just matches Jack like no other, My two favorite voice actors for my two favorite characters. I also like Yvonne Strahovski and the guy who voices Thane.
Also, I don't know why people like Ali Hillis so much, Liara's voice imho is just so emotionless and the way she speaks is so annoying and robot like.

Since when do you need to shout to be badass?

I loved renegade femshep for the simple fact she doesn't have to yell it and still sounds like she means business.

A whispering woman is dangerous. Either she tries to seduce you ... or wants to make you feel really, really sorry. Or both at the same time.

Therefore: no need to yell, I concur.

Drink it, or I'll blind you one eye at a time.

As for my favourite voice actors, honestly? All of them. Jennifer Hale, Liz Sroka and Raphael Sbarge are probably my favourites of the bunch, if I had to specifically pick some. I'm sort of wishing Steve Blum got to voice things other than grumbling dinosaur men or incidental minor characters, though. Man's got talent coming out of his ears.

I was very surprised to find out how much meaning can be added just by tactical disposal of pauses - heard his reading of Horizon letter?

There's an actual audio version of the email he sent?! What about Ashley's?

Badass is not the goal, intimidation is.

When your lines are borderline inaudible and require subtitles to comprehend, I think it's fair to say that intimidation is lost.

Courtenay Taylor, obviously the top two voice actors in the whole series.

Jennifer Hale. Her shepard is the one I actually wait to listen to, Meer sounds like he's quite literally reading and not acting at all.

Maybe I'm in the minority but I personally found Meer's voice work bland as hell, especially when compared to Jennifer Hale's. He improved somewhat in ME2 and had better delivery for the renegade dialogue, but still...he was cringeworthy at many parts.

No your not, it is Bland as hell IMO.

I don't have a particular favorite *shock horror*
However I do have to give praise to Tali's V.A who majorly improved between ME1 & 2
Yvonne & Claudia I don't give two figs about..:innocent:

Top 5

(5) Natalia Cigliuti -- Morinth. She did a great job of giving Morinth a personality despite the lack of lines. I thought she was awesome as Sigrun too in Awakening too.
(4) Robin Sachs -- Zaeed. Like Morinth the voice acting really added a lot of personality to the character despite a lack of lines. Thanks to him I'll never read god dam the same ever again.
(3) Yvonne Strahovksi -- Miranda. I thought she did great at capturing the range of emotions Miranda displays throughout the story. ice queen to optimistic big sister to playful romance.
(2) Martin Sheen -- The Illusive Man. Owned his performance, he really brought the character to life, but Martin Sheen is always awesome so it is to be expected.
(1) Michael Beattie -- Mordin. Brought the character to life. When I think of Salarians I think of Mordin and Beattie's voice.

some minor characters I enjoyed: Claudia Black(Xen, Aetheya, etc), Tricia Helfer(EDI), Simon Templemen(Archer)  and Jessica Anne Bogart(Tela Vasir).

Good god is that really her voicing Vasir? Because she sounded AWFUL and underpaid. I mean...she sounded pissed when reading one sentence and then was completely calm and low-volume the next (during her final lines before dying).

Its still heaps better than House of the Dead, but it shouldn't even have a place in ME.

No Ashley's letter, at least yet, because it wasn't BioWare initiative - Mr. Sbarge just kindly responded to rather old (lasts from one of his first audioblogs) fan request.

Keith David, not only was he an 80's badass in films such as The Thing, but he has continued his career with one of the greatest voices since James Earl Jones. He makes Admiral/Counselor/Captain Anderson one of my favorite characters and though I expect him to die heroically in ME 3, I know he'll be badass to the end.

You don't like the sound of Jennifer Hale whispering. Or Tricia Helfer breathing. Or Ali Hillis saying anything.

Time to come out of the closet man.
