Does anyone know where exactly can I find the music from each area of the game? I've always loved the music from Jade Empire and would greatly enjoy listening to certain tracks outside of playing.

I've looked around the sound folder and I found only misc files, not the soundtrack music I'm looking for.

I've never found it. I went to youtube and looked up Jack Wall the composer and the songs are broken down by area there. There is also an audio CD out there somewhere.

The ambient music files are in ...\\Jade Empire\\sound\\musicbank.

Finding the music for a specific area is quite complicated, though.

You would have to find the area's ARE file. For the teahouse in Tien's Landing e.g. that would be j02_teahouse.are. Then open that file with K-GFF and search under Soundenvironment for the MusicState. Then you need to look that number up in ...\\Jade Empire\\sound\\musicbank_xsb.txt to find the designer name of the track: "mus_amb_tearoom". In the same text file you will also find that mus_amb_tearoom has the index 67. So the sound file would be ...\\Jade Empire\\sound\\musicbank\\musicbank00067.ogg.

As I said.. it's complicated.
