Jennifer Hale does an incredible job as Female Shepard -- in fact I feel she IS Female Shepard. And it may be too late at this point, but I have two requests:

1) Let Jennifer Hale do motion capture for FemShep's face +/- body. Ms. Hale has said in interviews that she really loves doing mo-cap and that since she's really invested in the character she would relish the idea of bringing the physical aspect of acting to Shepard (as well as the voice). Since Shepard is going to be "more emotional" in ME3, I'd really love to see her facial expressions generated by an actress rather than a computer. Ms. Hale would bring an extra level of realism and emotional impact to the character. Of course, not all of the game can be mo-capped at this point, but the most emotional scenes such as squad deaths and romance scenes ccould still be done. (Side note: Allowing the voice actors to record together would also make the emotional scenes that much more gripping and avoid the dialogue mismatch of Kaidan's "JOKER'S WAITING FOR YOU ON THE BRIDGE" during the romance scene in ME1.)

2) Please dial back the overtly "sexy" voice direction in FemShep's romance dialogue. FemShep's most affecting romantic dialogue occurs when she is being honest using a normal tone of voice:
"I don't want something 'closer to home' -- I want you." Fan reaction:

When FemShep puts on a self-consciously "sexy/teasing" voice, she is just cringeworthy:
"I'm more interested in just talking for a bit, Jacob." Fan reaction:

I really liked the character of Jacob at first but couldn't bring myself to interact with him because the delivery of FemShep's lines (coupled with MaleShep's body language) was just too much. Flirting is fine, but not in such a heavy-handed way. Allow Ms. Hale to make the lines more honest and less forced. Shepard is a soldier, not a phone sex worker. :P

I haven't played as MaleShep, but I'm sure Mark Meer would also be great doing mo-cap. I can't comment on his romance dialogue, so don't know if it needs tweaking.

If the way she delivered the lines convinced you to go for Garrus rather than Jacob, I'd say that was a job well done.

Her line (and delivery) in the final scene with Garrus was not much better: "You're worrying too much -- and talking too much." It's just that the scenes leading up to it were more bearable. In general all the romances had at least one cringeworthy line. It's just that Jacob's had the most cringeworthy lines. I totally would have tried the Jacob romance if I hadn't felt that FemShep was sexually harassing him at every turn.

That is partly why I dislike Garrus and Jacob's romances.
It would seem as if they believed the fans primarily wanted something sexy.

I think her delivery of sexiness was pretty good in LotSB.

Does ME do mocap at all? Anyway they've already said that they have the animations done, for the most part.

Well, I've definitely seen some fans say: "Please Bioware, let FemShep use her feminine wiles," to which I reply: "You want more of the game to sound like her conversations with Jacob?!" At which point everyone goes: "Ok, never mind!" :P

But yes, I just want to let Bioware know that some of us DON'T want more "sexy." Love and trust is sexy. "Oooh, Mr. Taylor" is not.

I haven't had a chance to experience that, but if it works, then GREAT! It's the jarring "trying to hard" lines I don't want more of. I just want the direction dialed back a bit.

There was sexiness in LoTSB? That came off more "action-comedy" to me.

...'Course, I didn't romance Liara.

...Or anyone.

It only shows up in the last couple sentences of a scene with a romanced Liara, but it's rather good. Maybe because it's woven in instead of just standing alone.

They may have already.

Is it really that big a deal, though?

I wish they'd make her act more like a woman as well. The way she stands and the way she sits is obviously like a man. It used to sometimes make me cringe whilst playing it.<_<

I understand that they can't go back and redo the whole game with mo-cap, but there will be a few high impact scenes where mo-cap could work beautifully, such as squad death scenes and romance scenes as well as Shepard's final scene (whether it be death or celebration). Obviously her sixth interaction with Conrad Verner doesn't need that level of detail.

I can only hope!

Is it that big of a deal? In the grand scheme of things, maybe not, but I think it would be a fitting send-off for one of the best female protagonists in gaming. Also, Jennifer Hale WANTS to do it, and after the fantastic job she's done, I think she deserves to get her wish.

I don't mind the *sexy* dialouge at all. Unlike maleshep, atleast she tries to act romantic. However, I do think that femshep should have different animations than maleshep, because the way she sits in some cutscenes with her legs spread apart is just...... awkward to watch.

Not sure how the Garrus romance can be sexy; at the very least it's cute.

I'll say!  If you put her in her "gown" from Kasumi's mission and then go see Garrus - yikes!!  I'm sure poor Garrus isn't sure where to look!Image IPB

They need to change up some of her animations for sure.  And I agree she doesn't need to be romantic - I'm betting she doesn't know how, so just trusting and loving would work.

None of the romances are sexy.

Unless you include those abortive attempts with Jacob once Shep steps into his cougar activation field.

What?! Legs spread apart???! That's probably too ventilate...all that sprinting around in armor. C'mon...its gotta be hot in there. Even with hi-tech A/C units built in.

I think the dress sitting thing was addressed in LotSB. For the most part I'm fine with her masculine "hangin' out with the guys" poses when she's in armor/jumpsuit (except when flirting).

Guess I am lucky I am a guy... because manShep never says any embarrassing lines...

After reading so much about it on the forums, had to watch the Jacob romance. Definitely has a porno vibe initially.

Bow-chica-bow-wow.
