Long Answer: Reading through the support section, it's quite clear where their "affections" lie.

The mask.

Her anonmity, allows the fans to force whatever unrealistic fetishes they have onto her. When she is revealed, and trust me she will be.  We can all take pleasure in watching Tali fan's lose their heads. Not only do I expect a monumental amount of wailing. One that will no doubt be deemed  the BSN Holy War.

Topics filled to the brim with "TALI IS NOT HOT ENOUGH" or "TALI IS NOT ALIEN ENOUGH"

I plan to just avoid the forums for those 2 weeks or maybe 3.

We already have the colossal moanfest of the Ashley fanbase. (One that is proportionately smaller) The one about her attire, and yet that "issue" devours this forum like it's meat.

I agree with your assessment and predictions, except for the Holy War part.

What war? It'll just be a bunch of socially inept Talimancers (with Tali/Garrus BSN avatars) QQing at Bioware, with the rest of us laughing at the side. Its not a war; more like front row tickets to the special olympics track and field.

Its probably too much to expect a couple of Talimancers eventually wristing themselves, but I'm still hoping for it. Good for business.

She/He does bring up a valid point though. Talimancers seem to bring up sexual fetishes with more frequency than the other fan bases. It actually gets a little creepy sometimes. Her physical presentation seems to have a lot of importance to her fans.

huh?  did you even read my post.  please read it again.

yes, some fans like her for "dem hips"  the phrase comes specificaly from the fan thread  (Miranda has "dat ass")  this is not what I personaly like about Tali, I coudln't possible care less about "dem hips"  and lets not try to bring down other LI's.  Miranda has plenty to recomend her besides her looks.

They have the free time. Miranda, Jack and Ashley fans spend much of their time hoping for a bright future, and Liara fans tend to be a fairly sexually quiet bunch when in public, for some reason. I can't really say anything about the male LIs.

It could also be because Tali elicits the most curiosity.

Since I'm not replying directly to OP on their subject matter (a no-no with us trolls), I'll bite. There's a lot of speculation on what people think would fit Tali best, because there's nothing else to go on. Whether her hair stand-in be hair, quills, nothing, etc, is a topic to toss ideas around in, because we know nothing about it already.


It's not being sexually deviant/fetishing to suggest what you think a masked character would look like beneath said mask. I'll say a tentative "most" of people in the Tali thread just come up with these ideas due to boredom and for something to do while waiting for an ME3 reveal, and would be happy with whatever Bioware (Who created her damn character, after all) decides what she looks like. I fall into that category.



...Though, there are certainly some people who express their sexual fetishes in such a manner. Not many, but some. Like me. Retractable claws, cat-like, would make for some rough scratching. Yeeeeah. And some long quills in place of hair. Rub dat head on my chest, leave some bloody grazes. Dat be hella good stuff tbh

It is interesting to watch. for the first few days. After 3 days, you all will be ripping your hair out. Things grate on your nerves if repeated too much. The tali fans will beat.you.into.submission.

The Tali fanbase has been pretty tame for almost a year now as the majority of the more devout posters left and created their own forum.

I suppose you don't have to worry about inclusion, since you're in every installment of the game. But I guess it doesn't help that she's wearing a gas mask and a PVC suit. It's pretty fetishized on it's own

It felt odd that she was an option since she acted like, hinted at and felt like a teenager. So the thought of a marine in his thirties thinking about her in that fashion was weird.
