Tali is a purple space night elf with silver eyes. This is confirmed via Twitter.

Though, if she took off her mask and Stumpet Rakingclaw's beard fell out, I would stand up and applaud, wiping away a tear. Such beautiful trolling only happens once every seven times to the worlds align.

Also, don't most dwarves in fiction live 200-1000 years? I was quite shocked that Dragon Age didn't follow the general "dwarves live either 2-3 human lives or a millenium, elves live either a millenium or are immortal" rule. DA may be unique there.

*wipes away tears*
dats wunderful rite dere tbh
da grandmaster of da trollers showz his lite once again tbh

EDIT: Also too implfiy an answer : Tali is a uniqe species. She shall not be named dwarf! NEVERRRR!

Neither.

QFT, Quarian's wimpy constitution is more elf like, while OP does a good job of saying how they are like dwarves.  Thats like saying humans never wore armor or have no affinity for machining or tech.

Tali is a Quarian.

People generally do not wear armor in bed and carring the knife with her is yust wrong a man can get intimidated when a girl is on top of him with a dagger strapped to her leg.

(PS she's still cute)

What's all this elf/dwarf stuff about? I thought it was obvious that quarians were space gypsies. Image IPB

  • Nomads
  • Purple/Grey skin
Dwarf-like qualities.
  • Good with machines
They aren't really like dwarves or elves. But between the two, yeah much more elf.

Wing Commander 2: Vengeance of the Kilrathi. It's well worth playing, as the storyline in WC2 can give ME a run for its money. Image IPB It's available on gog.com if you're interested, bundled with WC1 (which didn't have much of a story compared to the sequels but is still fun).

It's interesting to remember Wing Commander, what with all the talk about how ME's writers painted themselves in a corner with the suicide mission concept. In WC1, which wasn't very story-driven, it was possible for any wingman to die in any mission (and because the AI is really bad at times, sometimes the easiest way to ensure they'd survive is to order them back to base and do the mission alone). These wingmen would then suddenly be alive again in the expansion packs or the sequels. Because of this, WC2 and onward only have scripted deaths; if you lost a wingman during a mission, they'd always eject and survive.

Also, I kind of felt bad giving money to EA when I bought Mass Effect, because first and foremost EA will always be the company that killed the Wing Commander franchise (they bought Origin Systems to get their hands on Ultima Online, and basically fired the entire WC team).

I loved the gameplay in Prophecy, but every time Blair stepped on screen in the cutscenes I identified with him much more than I ever did with Casey. WC2 and 4 are the best entries in the series for me, although I never really liked how they turned Tolwyn into the bad guy (sure, he didn't like Blair and was an sob before, but not a deranged lunatic like in WC4). This is also because I'm rather attached to the interpretation of Tolwyn in Forstchen's WC novels, which is quite different from the games.

I would also argue that WC3 and later are the only decent interactive movies made during the format's heyday in the 90s. Image IPB How can you go wrong with Mark Hamill, Malcolm McDowell, John Rhyss Davies, Jason Bernard, and Tom Wilson? And Privateer 2 had Christopher Walken and BRIAN BLESSED (too bad it was otherwise a pretty weak game).

In case you hadn't noticed yet: I'm a huge Wing Commander fan. Image IPB

EDIT: Come to think of it, WC4 even had a kind of paragon/renegade system, with a different ending depending on whether you sided with Hawk (complete the mission at any cost) or Panther (save the civilians) more often.

Also female dwarves are very curvy, big hips... that could be a similar trait to a certain species. :P Didn't read past page one, or well 6 posts actually but thought I would add my two cents anyways.

Tali's accent could never be mistaken for Nordic.

True but her accent remains a accent elves generally speak flawless. Dwarf accent has been depicted as nordic and scottish mostly but they remain accents compared to the flawless english elfs speak

Nordic is such a broad term... Take Finnish for example. It has absolutely nothing to do with other Nordic languages and Quenya is actually "related" to it.

Dwarf accent has been depicted as Nordic? Nay man, seriously.
