Seems like Bioware has quietly released the final (not beta) 1.05 patch.

It's quite a beefy one just to fix DLC authentication?

Correct, it fixes the DLC authentication issue.

And Dragon Age 2 needs a 1.04 Patch too
cause when you encounter the Genlocks and Hurlock Alphas in Legacy DLC They are not there plus everything else.

It says it also fixes some directX10 compatibility issues some people were having...Dubya75 wrote...

And THANK THE LORD that this DLC thing is finally fixed.... I hated having to trick it into believing that I am me......

Wow. Seriously . . . I just assumed Origins was abandoned.
Bravo for proving me wrong and continuing to support the product.

Fredvdp, Mass Effect 2 includes teh high res textures already. It will not be patched as they are already present.
Shadowhawk233, yes we're working on more Dragon Age II patching as well.

When did that happen? I remember them looking like this. High-res faces, low-res armor.Chris Priestly wrote...

Anyway, I'll try not to steer this too much off-topic and congratulate BioWare on still supporting DAO.

Thanks chris cause to me it's weird that you don't see them after the DLC release.
Did i forget that the Deep Stalkers are also not there in Legacy Too?

Finally, lets see if it fixes the slowdowns and random crashing as well.

quick question; hopefully i'm not oblivious to a more closely relevant thread (after various searches involving arrangements of 'patch', 'error', 'uninstall' and so on) but honestly it wouldn't surprise me, and sorry if i did miss it:
while applying patch 1.05 to DAO-Ultimate Edition (which was digi-d/l'd yesterday), one error came up which i had to ignore to complete the rest of the patching.
this error referred to an uninstall file. (brilliantly, i didn't write down the full path)
running DA:O, i have noticed that the Uninstall button is non-functional.
is this a serious problem in any sense other than hypothetically
a) critically fumbling mod installation, and/or corrupting saves, etc., and actually *wanting* to uninstall the game and
not being able to properly scrub the install out of program files, registry et al. for some reason....
?
am i making sense? to put it another way - i don't want to uninstall the game (or more to the point, i really really don't relish the thought of *re*installing), but should i actually be worried if and when i do want to?
in case it matters: Windows 7 Ultimate; UE downloaded & installed with Origin; path 1.05 downloaded from 'here', every other part of the patch went smoothly...

You won't have any problems. I've had that message since time and memorium and I've uninstalled and re-installed at leastt 3x (yes, I play around with my computer for giggles).

Hi, I have origins installed but not awakening. I installed patch 1.05 thinking it was the latest update. After loading it, i can no longer open DAO; windows says it cant open the file.
Without Awakening, do i need patch 1.05? If not, do i need 1.04? How do I know how to update my game properly? Is there no autoupdater? This game was purchased instore not via steam. Thanks.

Link for patches is further up in this thread. The only two patches are the Witch Hunt 1.1 (manual install) and 1.05. The rest of the patch links have been taken down, indicating that 1.05 should take care of everything.
If you want to try 1.04 then you'll have to go to another web site to get it.
There is no auto-updater (a blessing in your situation). If you do not want 1.05 then go with 1.04 or 1.02a. DO NOT go with 1.03 as it was game breaking for many. I re-install and find Patch 1.02a on an outside website until 1.04 came out.

WOW how many games can claim a patch this late?
I wish more companys would show this support for their own titles.

I hope it fixes it as I have decided to give DAO a second chance having just ordered the ultimate edition which should be here in a couple of days the bugs were one of the many things that killed any interest i had in the game originally.

Hi! everyone,
I am new to Dragon Age and was relieved to get the patch 1.05 after much trawling through the sites pages. I thought I might have installed the program wrongly in some way when I first tried to run the game. I must say, although I am playing in easy mode at present I am very pleased at Origins gameplay and the controls.
THe patch took quite a while to download and update the program butr it was worth the wait.

Question to anyone still following this thread, will the patch cause problems with manually installing the DLC items or no? I'm finally moving my DA:O playing to my computer since my new one should be able to handle it finally, but I hope to manually install many of the items since there's no other way to get them anymore

Did they ever fix the achievement glitch for the people that bought the Warden's Keep and finished it on day 1?

Question: I just reinstalled the game. Does this 1.05 patch include all the other patches (so I don't have to run each previous patch)?
Thanks!
Thanks!
