It would be weird if Shepard got back together with the VS....period.

Did you miss the email he/she sent you shortly after Horizon?
Yeah that makes everything alright. You can totally make up for anything bad you've done or said to someone as long as you say you're really sorry afterwards.

It might not be enough, but its something. If you think a relationship is supposed to be argument-free and is worth ending just because of one bad verbal exchange that the other party subsequently apologized for, then well...be thankful your ancestors weren't this petty, because otherwise you probably wouldn't be here.

Most of our ancestors were likely not the product of a nice relationship.

Whom would you suggest? My Shepard wasn't interested in romance in ME2. She's willing to give Kaidan a second chance if the opportunity arises, since she recognizes that she would be just as skeptical if the tables had been turned on Horizon.
Also, most VS fans realize that Horizon was badly written, and are willing to see how things go in ME3. Having a single/faithful save isn't that hard, even if the VS isn't your favorite LI.

Seems that stuff causes a lot of emotions. Thought we had everything discussed (and I really do discuss it, as you can see in the "cheating" thread.
Whatever.

Also, the VS doesn't dump you on the traditional sense. They're confused, baffled, mindboggled and refuse to work for Cerberus, the enemy. Shepard is the retard here with his/her retard dialogue. They send you an email afterwards which clearly states that despite of you working for an enemy corporation they still trust that you know what you are doing. In other words: they still trust YOU.

So you die and are ressurected and take your ex by surprise by being alive and working for a group that is considered an enemy...this happens to you often IRL?

Too much time has passed.
On another note, I think Finnish is an awesome language.

Based on what particular chart? The chart of life? The chart of love? The chart of the meaning of life? The chart of trolls?

Your deduction skills are amazing. If someone gave you a glass of water you'd probably think he's trying to drown you.

Maybe not intentionally but many people suffer from a form of passive sociopathy which could well hide such an intention.

Considering the fact that half of modern relationships start & end with text messages ... YES!
No, seriously: the message does not repair that relationship. There's still a good ol' talk needed. However, that message kicks a closed door open again, so Shepard can HOPE to restore his or her relationship to the VS. It's not more and not less than that.
